Do you use it? Does it help/work/do what it promises? Is the learning curve easy?

Most importantly - is using it a problem, is it 'black hat', does google get pissed off?

Comment Kahuna was made for 1 sole purpose and that was to get free backlinks. I use this program very frequently and can say it does pick up on some goldmines. Another thing you could do is activate the page rank viewer on google and just search blogs that have high page rank and leave comments on them.

Backlinks is what I was hoping to use it for, indeed - is using it black hat or does Google see it as a problem?

Well I could say that Comment Kahuna is not worth at all. All it does is posting to no follow blogs which means it have not effect at all...

It's not magic, in fact, it drove me nuts having to install a bunch of MS .net crap that took forever on my PC.

Anyway - it basically does keyword searches on blogs then looks for No follow in html on the page.

You could do something similar by going to major blog directories, finding blog posts with your keywords, using the SEO Plugin for Firefox or IE - which will also tell you whether the comments are no-follow or not.

I don't rate it. Most of the results are no follow. Even when you ask it to highlight do follow blogs most of the ones that it comes back with are no follow. Waste of time in my opinion.

There's a great product that I do use (which I love) called EasyBacklinker which was created by a fellow warrior. Think there is (or certainly was) a WSO running. WSO cost is $10 per month but worth every penny. You can also get it on PayDotCom.

you gotta be lucky to hit those goldmines, but most of the times it shows nofollow pages/blogs. But it is easy to operate.
