Google search 'link:' vs 'links:'
hey guys and girls, long time lurker first time post..
my question pertains to the google search attributes for viewing backlinks. i am wondering what is the difference between "link:mywebsite.com" and "links:mywebsite.com"? the former tends to show just a few pages with actual content and PR rankings, while the latter typically results in 1000's of pages with low/no PR and hardly any content. can anyone explain the difference between the two?? there are quite a few when typing in 'links:' and many look rather spammy. is google even acknowledging these? are they merely floating in cyberspace with no purpose whatsoever?
