I am guessing you pay first, then submit details on what you want to the seller correct? I went to order a gig but instead of options (seller had multiple) it took me straight to paying. This normal I am guessing?

You can order first if you want. What I normally do is contact the seller first, and discuss the order - and how many orders he/she wants me to place.

When you select the Gig that you want to order, click the Order Now button.

Top Rated Sellers have the option to include Gig Extras with their Gig. Gig Extras allow you to extend your order according to the options offered by the seller.
Certain Gigs allow you to order in quantity of more than one in the same order. This feature is only enabled for high ranked sellers and Gigs.
If the Gig involves shipping of physical items, you will be prompted to select your destination after clicking the Order Now button.

      is always the support page:

    + 1 what Nate said

and yeah when your placing an order you'll have to pay first then it'll say your order is in the oven something like that, just go to Buyer > My shopping and click the order you just made

The seller should give you some instructions or ask for a few things and you just reply

You can order first but generally people work by contactings the seller first and working that way,

Most gigs are really straight forward. You want it. You order it and pay. Then you fill in the sellers questions for the details they need. Then they deliver it. Some things may take some iterations, which the seller may reasonably limit in their offer.

But in general, if you need something more complicated than the fiverr offer, then fiverr may not be the right marketplace for that need.

Just a word of advice, I'd suggest looking for a service that has excellent feedback.

    All the best,

Jason brings up a good point about feedback depending on what I want I also look at the amount of feed back I'll go with someone with little experience if what I'm after is simple.

As mentioned earlier, make sure you check their feedback before paying.

I recently used someone from fiverr to write a 500-word article. I didn't check her feedback and when I got the article back, I couldnt understand what she was talking about. I had to re-do it all myself. Although it was only $5, so I didn't lose much.

You place you order and then pay. You then give the person the details. For example, if you want 500 backlinks to your site, you would give them the URL and anchor text. Straightforward really.

There are some good people on there who will give you excellent service, but, likewise, there are also some wasters.

      Good Luck.

If the gig is straightforward and basically nothing can be misunderstood - like ordering somebody to take picture with your website written on paper - then just check the seller's feedback to make sure he is doing his job and order. Submit your text and that's it.

If the gig you are going to order is something that takes communication. For instance like making a personal video, drawing a picture, etc - just contact the seller first and let him know what you want. He will most definitely answer you and will tell you if he can cover your needs and what can be done. Also how many gigs it'll cost.

When you and the seller have discussed the goal and you are sure it's as clear as it can be just proceed and order.

Thanks for the advice all. I didn't even bother to look at anyone else expect "Top Rated Seller" so I am guessing I'm on the right path. I've contacted two sellers for details and am looking forward to seeing their products.
