Google, I'm Confused!

Hello Warriors,

I have a blog on a particular niche and I build backlinks to it via submitting articles to various article directory.

The blog has been doing well for about 2 months now, and some of my pages were on No. 1 page of google.

Just 4 days ago someone reprinted my articles on his/her blog (they might have probably gotten it from the article directory I submitted it to). I knew it was reprinted because I received a trackback.

At first, I was excited because I was getting more backlinks to my blog, but after 24 hours, all the pages on my blog dropped from 1st page of google to 8th page and some pages were even lost (can't find the exact ranking)

These are the questions I have been asking myself:

1. Was it because I didn't approve the trackback

2. Is it that google didn't trust the links

3. Has the site (the site backlinking to my site) been penalized by google

4. Is this going to last for a short time or is it going to take over 3 months.

5 What are the possible solution to this.

Please let me know what you think about this and how I can resolve this issue as well as how to prevent it from occurring in the future...

Thanks.

It's probably just the normal google dance, you have new links pointing to your site, so google has to workout where you should rank.

It's normal, once you get more links you won't notice it as much as 1 or 2 links don't make a difference but when your site is new each link is a major amount of your links so the effect is exaggerated.

I have to say, this forum is now littered with "What's Google Doing To Me" type threads.

Seriously, you are putting your business, your life, your income, your reputation, your future, your confidence, possibly your health (as a result of de indexing) All at the hands of an AL Gore Rhythm???

In any pro sport, you have a limited number of years and then you get side lined. You might get benched first, but you work hard, improve you fitness and get back in the game, but the time is going to come when you get side lined for good..... because the coach, management and money men decide thats whats newer, fresher, younger with alternative ideas, is exactly what the team and what the fans want.

If you want or need to extend your career, you need to refocus on your goals and learn how to take it to the next level........ become the coach, manager or money man...... then and only then are YOU in control.

    Good Luck

Isn't it possible that Google devalues the articles because they are not unique anymore?
