Necessary to cloak affiliate links part of blog posts?

I know its necessary to cloak links for PPC campaigns, but do you recommend cloaking affiliate links that are naturally embedded into my blog posts? What do you think is the best way to cloak/redirect/track these links?

    Yes you should. Ever heard about a link hijacker that redirect your sales to theirs? Plus, when your readers see your link www,yoursite,com/someproduct they'll likely to think it's part of your site and more likely to click (but depends on how you presell of course)

    To cloak and redirect : I use free feature on acloaker.com, download the ready-made webpage in "download with cloaking" part, put the file (just 885 bytes) on the Cpanel, put the address link. Yes there's a php code to cloak, but I'm noob at codes.

    To track     : use a Wp-ClickTrack plugin, it's free. Or put Google Analytic script to the link.

    To cloak and track all in one : Yoo.ph - Shorten, Protect, Track and Advertise Your Affiliate Links is a free bit.ly alternative that allow cloaking and tracking of affiliate link (bit ly rejects aff link now)

    To avoid losing commissions it is necessary to cloak affiliate links and people hesitate to click ugly looking links so to increase click through rate cloaking is necessary.
