Make 100k online doing what you don't really like, or 50k online doing what you love? Choose wisely...

Of course the latter and when you do what you love often things have a way of growing and expanding into something larger.

I'd take the 100k option educated in the knowledge that making effective money sometimes involves doing things you don't want to do.

      This is true of life.

Then I'd explore the things I enjoy with a greater potential to invest more.

Great answer and I my experience doing something you love will require sometimes doing things you don't want to do.

I would take the money, save up then move on to doing the thing I love.

hm .. interesting question, a lot of people make big money from doing what they dont like. it is more common to make less from what you do like, sad ah..
After all, everyone come to understand the importance of living your life as you want and doing what you love and want to do , someday, so, 50k = happy for life)

    The latter I think....

I go with the second option. I want to do what I love and provide actual quality, not do something I don't like and sabotage the quality of the products I create. Also, if you do what you love, scaling it up is fairly easy, because you love doing it anyway and are ready to work more on it!

    Hmmm,

I would choose option one, once, the first year.

Then, option two for the next year.

Then I would continue on, making option one's money with option two's description due to my hard work, satisfied repeat customers and word of mouth referrals.

Maybe... as soon as you can explain what causes someone who
points an accusing finger to hide behind a screen name such as
            todayismonday20.

How is that different? I've never seen the person using the name
Alexa Smith ever claim to be anything... male or female... or that any
of the various avatars to be pictures of her/him.

I think you're obsessed... and very close to being banned.

Meanwhile... you're repeated off topic rantings in this thread

But the best thing that happened was just like any fire works display, it burned out and is nothing but a fast fading memory.

Like vs. love....NOT love vs. hate. I would take option 1 and move to option 2 when once I make enough for leveraging.

I would take the $50,000 way for sure, I have only made money doing things I love. To me enjoying my time is precious, so I would not spend anytime doing what I did not like, just my $6 worth.

    Interesting question!

Like many things in life, you start by doing something you hate for a while (a job!) and when you are financially independent you go and do the things you love.

I think the majority of us would prefer to jump straight to option 2 but how many are actually in a position to do it?

Has anyone considered the time element? I would gladly take $100K for doing what I hate if it was a quick and easy $100K. If the time period was short I'd take the $100K, but if it was long, I'd take the $50K.

I'd choose the latter at first. But then again, if time's involved in this question, I'd go for makemeriches' answer. There's another thing here: what if you eventually grow tired of doing that thing you love? Wouldn't that make you switch to the thing you once hated?

It's a trick question: If I was making the 50K "doing" what I love, I wouldn't actually be doing anything because all my income would be passive
