Help needed regarding Escrow transaction

I need some help. I sold a website on Flippa and it is my first time.

Now I started Escrow transaction and waiting for buyer to pay Escrow.

I read horror stories, that someone can actually scam you on Escrow (after giving them the website content, their is no guarantee buyer will not copy the Database, and change his mind. Escrow can't make sure the buyer didn't copy the database and change his mind about the transaction).

The website is hosted with a company and the domain is registered with another one.

How can I complete the sale without risking loosing my website content ? I want to make safe transaction on Escrow.

It is big transaction, and I am newbie with Escrow. I have been Googling for hours, no clear answer.

So, i though to come and be safe (asking in advance), than come in few days and be sorry (in case something went wrong)

Thanks in Advance

Do i get commission for helping you? hahah joking.

If its a big amount then you should maybe get a contract signed.
And you can both agree on policies. Like you can let him see the site, but once transfered, is not refundable.

Is like in stores, i see vendors pasting a sign on glass products that says " nice to see, nice to hold, once broken considered sold "

Well the recommended method of payment suggested by Flippa and its Buyers and sellers is Paypal....

Otherwise there come security issues.... So with escrow you have no options else than this

    Hi there,

First of all congrats on your site sale. Make sure you mention exact terms which buyer accepts before paying for the escrow transaction. Mention that the site transfer is final & once you transfer the site & domain, the buyer can't change their mind. As you are starting the escrow, you have the power to define the terms of the transaction which other party has to accept.

Wishing you the best, may God bless you!

    Cheers
    Ciel!
