How can I make money from a Facebook Community page?

Just like making money anywhere else. Ask them what their biggest problem is right now, how it's holding them back, and how you can help them. Make a product/service around it or recommend products and services as an affiliate that will help them take things to the next level.

It's just like monetizing a website. Give them what they need, build brand, sell stuff

I totally agree with that approach, however the problem I face is not about a monetising strategy (affiliates will work awesomely within this niche), it's more about the fact that I own a community, not a page. This means I can't post on the wall as the page, meaning I can't do a post so everyone in the community sees it - I can only post as myself (personal profile) and it doesn't appear on anyones walls. I can however access everyone who likes the page's timeline (depending on their security settings).

Well my dear what exactly you have planned??? I mean selling a book yourself about something or promoting someone's else product????

What ever you do is good.... But here is the quick formula to cash from any business....

List ---> Some Happy Buyers ---> Generate Them An E-mail About your Products ---> Happy customers will always buy again

Tip: Try not to be greedy for money always.... Give some worthy information always for free in form of reports and books, (This will not only help you increase the size of your list but will add happy customers in your list too )

How to Build a List?

Grab some PLR-MRR Product related to your interest, re-brand it yourself or if you are not good with this stuff hire someone from ODesk, Elance or WF to do it for you.... Add some value to your product and make it look like a unique.....

Now Place it in your signature links on forum and people who are interested will be going to your link to get their free copy....

Repeat this step 3-4 times till you reach enough list (upto me 500 e-mails) is a good list....

So now you can JV with a copywriter for a 50/50 split or you can make a product on your own and sell it for some price around 7-8$.....

People will buy it.... Because they have already received great stuff from you and they will be going to trust you that this time you will have some more valuable thing for them....

You can compose a message and send it to your fans on FB Page for your product....

Again this will not only increase your list with happy customers but build a great customer relation and confidence in your products....

Thanks rhorobins - if only it was that simple. In effect I've got a relatively large list in a niche that I can't talk to, all because of last years FB changes to how community pages are run. For clarity: Facebook PAGES are for brands or official presence, COMMUNITIES are for topics, so for example, a page that is called 'we like horse shoes' would be a community, but 'John the Horse Shoes seller' would be a page. The admin for a page has full control of the community and can post on the wal and everyone is notified. The admin for a community has limited or no control and their wall posts do not notify people who like the page.

I'm hoping someone has created a product or has an amazing insight that I've not been able to find in many hours of research that will allow me to get access to the people in my community without contravening FB's rules. Now there's a challenge!

Thanks hassan001. Definitely some good advice here. Perhaps I do need to go back to basics - but I'm really keen to take advantage of the 55K people I have without having to start over and I strongly believe that affiliate marketing is the right strategy for me and the niche I have.

Now let's do it like this way.....

Grab a top product about Sports/Health niche

Research some good PLR/MRR stores for such product.... Private Label Rights Products including PLR articles, ebook, templates, software and other PLR products I recommend this because its updated about on daily basis....

Tip: You can choose a topic such as "How to have a sportsman muscles" or "Sportsman Diet Secrets" or "Sportsmen fitness secrets" or "How to stay fit like lionel messi" or "lionel messi health secrets"... I guess pretty much ideas now :p

Try to find out product with MRR Rights.....

The MRR Benefit: Unlike PLR, with the mRR product you will not only have product but the source files along like word document source for the PDF Book, Ebook Graphic covers, header and footer pages etc....

I always recommend MRR because sometime sales letters and auto responders are included with the product already so 80% of the work is already done

Now come to the sales page.... Make it very close to the ebook and finalize it... If you are not professional with it I recommend to hire a free lancer.....

Now once this step is finished write up an attractive message for your followers which leads them to your sales page.....

And that's it..... I am sure you will get some sales from 55,000 number
