Anyone has a copy of David's letter from the cash cow post? Didn't save it and now that thread is gone ;(
Or if anyone has their own version that's fine too Just need a good letter for an off line mailing (seeing how emails didn't produce any results)

    Here is the original letter

    ************************************************** *
    Mr./Ms. ___________

My name is ______________ and I am a local e-commerce
    business consultant.

I know your time is valuable, as is mine so I'll get right to the
point. If I could show you an unused asset that you ALREADY
have that could make you thousands of dollars, would you be
willing to speak with me for 15 minutes?

This free consultation can save you as much as 50% of your
entire monthly advertising budget AND bring you brand new
customers at the same time! The best part is that you already
have it, so the cost to implement this marketing weapon is
    minimal.

Please call me at (your number) at your earliest convenience to
schedule a free "no strings" consultation. I promise you, it will be
    worth your time.

    Yours in business,
    Your name
    Contact info

    Good luck...

    Ken

Before you make a statement like "seeing how emails didn't produce any results" you need to stop for a minute, and see if you can figure out WHY they didn't.

I've found that I've gotten far better results from email of this same letter than I have from standard mailings.

Maybe it's your subject line? Maybe you altered the letter? Maybe you really didn't carefully check out the recipients to see if they were the type of businesses you should be targeting.

In other words, don't give up yet! Figure out what you did that didn't work as it should have.

My personal results: 4 replies for every 25 emails when I started out. NO replies to the regular mailings.

    Pete

Thanks Jagged. AndPete, I am inclined to think that my emails sim[ly weren't read (although I didn't really send enough to test conversion) But between emails bouncing back and having some dificulties finding owner's emails, I figured I might give physical mailing a try. I'll keep at it though, with both mails and emails.
