How to take payments for a WSO?

I am wondering what everyone uses to take payments for their WSO's? I am not talking about WSO Pro as that is not a payment processor. I do not want to use PayPal as I know many sellers also do not like to use them for obvious reasons.

So what does everybody use for their WSO's then? Or are we all just stuck using PayPal?

God, I HATE relying on them!

You could try 2checkout, although the fees are higher than Paypal's.

The vast majority of people in the WSO forum take
payments via PayPal - and most customers expect it
    too.

You can choose a different payment processor but it
    WILL impact your sales negatively.

PayPal is an easy and secure option for both sellers
    and buyers.

You're not stuck with PayPal at all but why not use
such an effective route for easier payments?

Shaun, I do know that the vast majority of people expect Paypal and it's pretty become de rigeur. The fear is that Paypal will freeze my account because I am selling and receiving payments in what they consider to be a "high risk" category.

Isn't it also true that because we are selling in a "high risk" category, their policy is to hold funds for minimum 30 days before payout?

Can people here share their experience in receiving WSO payments using Paypal?

    Hi there,

As long as you are not doing something illegal, there is no problem with Paypal. They may ask you to verify your details from time to time but there is no way they can ban or freeze your account just because you are selling IM related info products.

As alternatives, you can always try 2CO, Authorize.net OR your local bank gateways which can process credit card payments from all over the world.

Wish you the best, may God bless you!

    Cheers

That is not true. They can limit or freeze your account whenever they want to and for whatever reason they want to -- and you give them this right when signing up and agreeing to their user agreement.

Paypal do not have an issue with IM products as such but they have admitted they have an issue with products on the Warrior Forum and those products that do not offer any real value -- which describes a lot of IM products. Software, plugins... good. Make Money courses... bad.

The way Paypal looks at it, and they admitted to this in a recent phone call, was that products such as software and plugins where the user is actually receiving something of value immediately, are ok. The problem they have is with products such as IM courses that teach people how to make money. The reason being that very few people actually go on to make money from those courses and thus they are not really receiving any value for their money. This then means they are more likely to ask for their money back so it puts YOU at a higher risk with Paypal.

They also said they don't like the business of most IM courses sold on the Warrior Forum because it is a never ending buyer cycle. Person A sells Person B a course on how to make money. Person B then sells those same tips in another format to Person C and D. Because of this cycle they claim no one is really getting any value from the purchases which makes those purchases a much higher risk to Paypal.

    Hi China Charly,

As others have said, WSO Pro and Paypal is a good combination, but as you say, does carry a small risk of you getting frozen out of your account or them doing some random mad investigations / refunds for no reason.

All the same, I use Paypal for just about everything.

One other alternative you could look at is using clickbank - I know some WSOs have been run using this before...

    Cheers

    Matthew

You can use JVZOO.com. It integrates verywell with WSOs and it can even help you to have more affiliates for your product.

But similar to WSO pro, it relies on paypal.

You can use 2checkout. But it will impact on your sales and may limit you if you want to have affiliates promoting your product ( You would be crazy not to).

But I see many warriors use pay pal and that is what most customers here are accustomed to. So why not go with the most convenient and expected method?

I think most are using Paypal. I've seen some recommendations for 2CO, but I've also seen them cancel accounts in a heartbeat because they didn't support the type of product being sold, so they are really no more reliable than Paypal.

Have them sent via Western Union to your personal assistant (Engr. Ibe Dumbassonu) in Lagos, Nigeria.

I'd recommend using WSOPRO, but most people use paypal as their payment processor.
