How To Remove a Product From Clickbank Safely

Hi,

I have a product listed at clickbank. It has generated about $350 revenue so far out of which $280 check was dispatched to me last week (which has not yet reached to me).

For some reason, I want to remove this product from clickbank and use some other payment processor. What's the best way to do that making sure that I don't loose my $350.

Thanks for any ideas.

Edit: Also can I keep using this account in future to promote others products?

Why not just make the product available in multiple locations? Why is it necessary to remove it from Clickbank in order to offer it for sale via another mechanism/platform?

    Thanks for reply.

The reason is because my product is a theme club. Until now I was selling all themes as bulk. Now I will be selling each theme individually. I am also looking forward to add some products as upsell and CB can't handle my model.

In my experience, removing a product from Clickbank does not cause you to lose your money.

What you CAN do however, is to leave the product up there and as StunningWarrior suggested, start using another payment processor as well. You can change all the links on your website to your product as listed on this new payment processor, and in this way your product on Clickbank will get no exposure whatsoever (provided you also remove it from the Clickbank Marketplace - if you ever listed it there in the first place).

If you wish to close your Clickbank account, then I may be wrong (do correct me if I am), but you will lose any amount of money that has not been sent out to you for lack of meeting your payment threshold. So I would reduce the threshold right down to minimize how much you lose, wait to receive your payment, and then close your account.

      Hope that helps

    Thanks for reply.

I am not looking to close my account as I still want to use it to promote others products. I just want to delete my product from it.

    Yes.

Be aware of the dormancy rules Accounting Policy - ClickBank

This dormancy rule is the reason I want to remove the product from CB. Otherwise I would have just left it as it is and changed everything at my end. Now I know that a dormant product will cost me money at CB. So I want to delete this product. I also have a delete button, just want to make sure that pressing this button is safe.

That won't help you. It's your account that will go dormant.

So you might want to reconsider and close your account like this Closing Your Account

ok sir, thanks for your help so far. I want to do this basically.

    1. Delete product from CB, but keep money it has generated so far.

    2. Keep using same CB account to promote other's products.

What do you suggest in this case.

You need to remove the product from the Marketplace and ensure that any existing affiliate links are not valid.

      Go to your account.

      - In My Site remove the Marketplace information and the hoplink target URL. (I assume it will allow you to clear those fields)

      - In My Products remove the item

    Hi there,

I have dealt with having a product on CB in the past and they are very helpful. You may want to call and get in touch with your account manager.

Keep in mind that initially being paid from them can take sever weeks, and that they keep 4% to themselves, and 10% get's held for up to 8 weeks for possible refunds.

You can take your product down by contacting support, and you can keep your account open and active for the future promotions.

To be precise on the second point the standard return allowance is 10% but can be adjusted and it gets held for 12 weeks.

Regarding the first point I am not clear where you get 4% from. ClickBank's fees are 7.5% of the product price plus one dollar
