INTERNET MARKETING

Hello fellow warriors! my name is ryan. I am a college student, currently started a marketing blog (take a look and please be as critical as possible I want to put up helpful posts on my blog, not things that give no help) and I am looking to meet other members in the marketing community, so whatsup?!

i literally just started it yesterday so I am still working on it as we speak, its a work in progress, but I see great potential in it

  thanks for the reply everyone! I actually posted a couple of threads to try and get people to view my blog and I was criticized hard! which is okay because that is exactly what I wanted. So if you have any criticism please don't hesitate, even if you think its the worst thing you have ever seen, its only helping me become a better online marketer.

Hey Ryan welcome to the Warrior Forum I'm from Rhode Island not too far from you and what you'll definitely find on here is plenty of good people that are willing to help you out. My advice is to select your niche then research it heavily. Find someone whose techniques & style you like & are successful in that niche and copy what they do. study how they market to you and how they monetize their blog. And remember to always take action and never give up...

@ alchemist720 thanks for the input! yea R.I. isn't far away form me at all. I definitely want to stick to this because I am not satisfied with being a full-time student and working a part-time job and having no money because of bills. Hopefully in time I can generate some money for myself, but like you said, can't give up and I know that.

I know it's still early for you, but you might want to research a little bit into wordpress so you can make that blog look a little nicer. Anyway, I suggest that you don't try to sell anything yet on your blog. Just keep it clean and use a transparent business model. Write about your experiences - successes and failures. Don't try to hype anything up like you're making a ton of money when you really aren't yet. That way you'll gain trust and build a better business in the long term.

rearley,

Others are right. You blog is a little bland. It lacks color and content. Both things can easily be fixed and need to be taken care of in order to move forward.

I would also take it easy on the adds at this point. They are making an already anemic site look more unprofessional. Just try doing without them until you can get the look tuned up and add more content.
