Hey guys, I need your help. I am currently a new IM-er
and have been studying Market Samurai all day today. Today I found a keyword that seems pretty good and i just need a second opinion before I pull trigger:

The searches are for EXACT MATCH and these domain are exact match domains (EMD)

I have pulled 2 keywords for analysis... much appreciate it guys

Firstly, this belongs in the SEO FORUM. And secondly, those keywords are horrible. Being a new internet marketer, you'll never rank for them, and even if you tried, it would take forever and a day.

    Why?

The first one shows more red on the matrix than I think Ive ever seen. What keywords are you trying to rank for - are they primary keywords?

The second one isnt so bad, but look at the DA. There are sites listed there between 7 and 15 years of age.

My advice - learn how to use the tool properly.

Go to Noble Samurai - Dojo

I know that the first one is mainly red, and the site is a company site. I am not looking to generate millions, just a buck or two per day. I am also not trying to be number one on google, first page is fine.

None of the sites have the keyword in the url.

Do the above variables change anything... is it still good or should i not even bother.

      Nice John
Seems like an epidemic on WF, men posing as women, women stealing photos of other women and using them as their profile pic?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Find other keywords. These will be far too difficult to rank for a beginner. Infact, I wouldnt touch them, and Ive been at this for 3 years.

ok guys.. thanks. I thought that because the exact match domain is available and that the commercial value was high that this would be a good opportunity.

    What about the second keywordÉÉ

Post up some of your other keywords, and we'll have a look.

By the way, Will was right, there are obviously instances of the keywords being used in the domains.

No I have to agree far too much red and the domain age would be against you. Go for something that would be a little easier. Look how many backlinks these all have. You could not compete with this.

Sorry to bump but I'm new also (1 year)

From what I've learned from MS, red is not always a bad thing.

Sites may be ranking due to words related in their content/bl

    EX. Dog training

1st site is ebay selling dvds on 'how to train a dog'

however, its not the exact phrase of dog training.

I learned this because when I looked through the sites I was competing against, they were all red/gray. But I looked closer as to why the ranking was to high - most of them were high ranked because the articles CONTAINED keywords that I had in their content (Not exact but phrases and such). Sites were ehow, ezine, etc.

    just had to say that.

but from the picture i see 30k+ so I'd stay away since MS told newbies for 30k and under.

The keyword im using is around 10k.

Way too much competition and I would never, ever use these keywords. Especially for someone who is a beginner you would never make it with these.

These keywords are way too competitive. As a beginner you should try and find low competition keywords that have a smaller search volume. Compile a list of a bunch of these and try and rank for all of them. Will be much easier to do
