Stop the distractions and focus on your IM

One of the downsides to Internet Marketing are all the distractions on the Internet.

I challenge you to take my two day challenge to boost your productivity!

Day 1)
Treat this day like any other day except for two things:
- Make a daily schedule broken down into 30 minute periods.
- Every thirty minutes write down what you just did in that block of time.

Day 2)
- Make a daily schedule and break it down into 30 minute periods.
- Write down your goals for the day and give yourself deadlines that are broken down in 30 minute periods. Stay tight to that schedule.

At the end of day two analyze the two days and decide which day was more productive. I bet it will be day two. Now continue to do this everyday you work and you will see your productivity skyrocket.

I do this every day and can tell you it works wonders. Occasionally I will slack off for a few days, or a week, and I can see the difference in my earnings.

I will notice "Hey I haven't made as much this week as normal", and once I think about it, it's because I haven't been laser focused. More just kinda doing what I want when I want.

I couldn't agree more. Everytime i started a project in the past i used to get distracted by something shiny. Nowadays i make a plan, even mind map it and stick to it. Does wonders for the bank account

This is actually good advice. Except that if you can add more marketing strategies to do each day, it would make the 2-day plan even better.

    Use the Pomoodoro technique.

    The Pomodoro Technique®

This has worked for some people, quite well. Timing yourself in 25-minute increments can help force you to focus and not spend any wasted time for that 25-minute period.

Great tip, I like the idea of giving myself a deadline to finish a project. Otherwise I can get lost in the "it's not perfect yet" phase and drag it out

Totally agree, one of the first things I learnt before anything else. Use a timer if necessary and don't focus on one thing for more than an hour, the brain needs to be stimulated with variety, concentration and focus can suffer if you do the same thing for more than an hour.

That is the problem many people fall into when working from home. There are so many distractions. I'll look into incorporating these ideas.
