How Much helpful is directory submissions for OFF Page Optimization now a days??

For OFF Page Optimization first recommendation is 'directory submissions' , but i am wondering how it is helpful in link building now a days . If it is then how can you find out the good directories to submit the link other then dmoz.

    It is surely the best option for link building in off-page SEO. You can find good directories list from DP or BHW forum.

    Well let's be honest here, they are not the best, added to that the length of time it takes to get indexed and it's almost pointless. I say almost because it takes 5 minutes and you might gain some benefit from it 6 months down the line.

    I've had excellent results using Manual Directory Submission Service: Get One-Way Links | Directory Maximizer service.
    I used option of 100 directory submissions / month for a year but obviously you won't see the results overnight. You can set up 20 variants of your keyword and descriptions for better effect.

    I'd say directory links are necessary for credibility factor in google's eyes and this is one of the easiest and least time consuming methods in my linkbuilding arsenal. Worth the money IMHO, if you choose automatic confirmation option, there's absolutely nothing you have to do afterwards.
