Niche keyword - stats any good?

Hi all,

I am thinking of creating a blog around a keyword with these Market Samurai stats. Can you let me know what you think? The age and PR stats are against me as well as some of the inbound links...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I would stay away for sure. There isn't a single weak site in that list.

    I normally find myself making a judgement by looking for at least one weak website. If one has got in, then I know that I can too.

    Also my advice would be to use the AWCPC as a very very vague guess.

    SpyFu Keyword Spy Tool for Keyword Research | SEO Software & AdWords Tools and http://www.keywordspy.com/ will give you additional data. Look for high CPC (obviously!) but also a high number of advertisers.

    Hi,

    You certainly have your work cut out for you, but this isn't something that can't be done. Honestly doesn't look that bad if you build out a good amount of high quality content.

    Have you considered getting a high PR aged domain to use?

    The right hand side looks really good with very little red action. I find the backlink results completely unreliable in Market Samurai now since Yahoo stopped their service.

    I used to rely on MS completely, but honestly now I don't use it because it's just not reliable at all for me.
    I get completely contrasting results when I use other backlink checker tools.
