Fantastic Day in IM!

Hi guys,

I don't post much, but I just had to share with you...

I do IM very part time. I have a few niche websites monetized with clickbank and adsense. I make a few bucks here and there. Well...

I just secured a deal with a major retailer. They are renting banner space on my lowly little affiliate site. Funny thing is, they contacted me out of the blue!

By the way, it's enough to cover all my monthly hosting and tool costs, so everything I earn now is gravy...

Just had to share.

    Make sure you secure that into a long term contract. Offer them a discount to sign a 9 or 12 month contract.

    Don't want to be a downer but there have been a lot of
    these "Want to place a banner ad on your site" scams lately.

    They normally go something like this:

    "I represent **** Agency. At the moment we are preparing an advertising campaign for namebrand Company We already have designed banners for the campaign, they are the following sizes: 160x600, 240x400, 300x250, 336x280, 468x60, 728x90.
    What can be your price for one banner (banner should appear at ALL pages of your site) of abovementioned sizes (please specify the place for the banner – top, bottom, left, right)? Please mention a normal link for banner, without javascript code and set prices in US dollars per month."
    Yours may be legit, just thought i would give you a heads up...

      So where does the scam come in?
      After their banner is displayed for the time paid for they do a chargeback?

        IF it is one of the scams they don't pay upfront.
        You will never get paid.
        Some of them ask you to install a plugin or script
        something similar which contains virus/malware etc...
