ACTA AND SEO (IM) Any insider here ?

Hey guys...

just wondering what is going to happen after acta is enforced...

any insider or "pro" here who has a lot knowledge about this ?

i am very scared of this because you can probably forget seo and and all that stuff... and my whole business is built on seo in germany.. so any advice here ?

    ACTA insiders are stuffed with money, quite likely they earn six and seven figure incomes--you won't find them chatting around in Internet forums :-)

    But, as far the thing is known to the general public, it has probably not very much to do with SEO. Web 2.0. like public forums, free commenting, open video portals (Youtube), Facebook--they will no doubt suffer greatly if enforcing ACTA is successful. And, hosting prices will also undoubtedly go up significantly, maybe ten times and more, at least what concerns small websites with little traffic.

      May I suggest before you hold forth about incomes of others and what ACTA "will do" - you actually read the treaty.

      I know that's a harsh suggestion - that you actually know what is in a document before arguing against it. Truth is - if you haven't read it yourself you are only parroting what you've been told - and there are a lot of 'agendas' and lies swirling around this treaty.
