Can I deindex a page from my own site just by simple removal??
This kind of a stupid question but I just want to double check before I get penalised for duplicate content.
I own two sniper-esque websites around the same niche. The first one was my first ever website of this sort and now I can see that I will never rank this site on page 1 of google as the phrase is too competitive. However that site has useful content that I could use on my other site which has a great chance of ranking on page 1 of google.
So my question is, If I remove the published post/s from my first site that I dont want to rank for anymore, and add it to my other site, will I be ok and not punished for duplicate content once my first website has all of the posts removed and has then been cached by google?
