Hello warriors?
I just want to ask you a simple question. What do you think about a domain name OFLIPPA.COM ? I'm the owner of this domain name. Is it a premium domain name?

I plan to list it as an auction, but I don't know at What is the price worth it?

Considering that Flippa is a trademarked name, the domain is worthless.

No ... it is not a premium domain name. It is a Trademark infringing domain name and is worthless.

Like everyone else is saying, it may be hard to get big bucks for it.

Your safest bet would be to just move it along.

Obviously, it is a Trademark infringing domain name. It will be interesting to where the auction goes

        This is what happened

        Auction Ended Unsold

Actually, the domain Flippa.com was not a premium domain name either. It is a branded domain made up by Flippa. It is premium now because of what Flippa has done with it and the traffic and revenue, but by itself, it was not a premium domain name.

Just goes to show that buyers are getting smarter. Anyone in the know wouldn't touch that domain.

You're right too. This is the point that I didn't understand. Thanks for making me understand this.

Hey ... you didn't lose a lot of money and you learned something. You can profit from selling domains, but you need to choose good, commercially viable domains. It took some guts listing a flippa domain on flippa ... lol.

Yes, thank you. I will try another domain name soon. Hope I will find good premium domain name.

So why did you buy the domain first and then ask what it was worth? You're giving your money away.

A premium domain name is one or two word names, everything else is .... second-rank domains.

The only reason you created this topic was to get some attention to your stupid auction.

I'm sorry but this is just... awful lol I mean, you added an O and then you scheme off of Flippa by trying to sell it on their site?

How about rollin' up your sleeves and working hard on something that you can come back here and proudly post on, rather than a second hand scheme?

You've just proven that you are trying to make money off their trademark. Then you are trying to pass on a huge potential problem to somebody else. Glad I don't do business with you

I'm going to be blunt here. You could be in big trouble. You are actively trying to sell a domain which could be classed as trademark infringing on the site you may be infringing the trademark with. By trying to make a profit from any trademark not belong to you online you could get sued for cyber squatting. I'm not a lawyer and suggest you seek legal advise but there have been cases running into $100k + in compensation for cyber squatting.
I'd suggest you tread very carefully!

Unfortunately I don't think it's worth much because of potential buyers will be fearful of getting into trouble with 'domain squatting'.

All of you scared me.. But thanks. I just understand the meaning of Trade Mark and infringing trademark by reading on Wikipedia.

Now, I just closed my auction. And thank you so much...
So, now I don't know what to do with this Infringing Trademark - domain name.

Let it expire and do nothing with it is probably your best bet. You lose what you spent and you gain a learning experience.

Yes, you're right. I got new scary-experience now.
Experience is more expensive that what I spent.

        Thank you PatriciaJ. Good advice.

Admirable that you followed the advice here, and ended that auction. This is basically a $10 mistake that you probably won't repeat no?

So, here's what you do: Leave that domain alone. It's hot lava. You had an okay idea that /might/ have made you some money 5-7 years ago, BUT, today there are far too many sharks in those waters. Let it expire, and if flippa comes after you for it, hand it over without question. Was a mistake, move on

But, here's what you DO learn: Did you like finding a domain that might have been a 'winner'? Was it exciting to think about selling it and cutting a profit? Then that might be your path to explore to make money online (which is why we're all here). Learn what to look for before buying. Watch the public auction sites (such as flippa, GoDaddy auctions, namecheap (marketplace), sedo, any others? ) and learn what is selling, and most importantly, WHY those types of sites sell. Are they well designed? High Page-rank? Well established authority sites? Well converting money sites? A perfectly phrased 'generic' term with lots of searches?
Answer those questions before buying your next domain, and buy that domain based on those answers. You'll quickly learn what's premium or not on your own.

Wow..wow... May be I wouldn't get this advice and tips if I was not doing this crazy thing. I do learn from this mistake.

Thanks in advance. I'll write it on paper now.
