What's the quickest your Niche site has started generating money?

Given that there's very little to no competition for a keyword, how long does it generally take for a website to be listed in the first page of a google search?

I'm planning on starting numerous Niche sites at once, and outsource the backlinking/content on all (most) of them. Since this does involve quite a bit of spending, I'm curious as to how long I'll have to wait before I can really start to reap the benefits.

I know there's no exact time, I'd just like to hear what people who've done this before have experienced.

    I think on average 2-3 months or so. Just don't give up, and don't skimp on quality.

      I think if you treat it as an online business rather than making money online, the time it takes shouldn't be a problem. Your biggest problem is going to be dealing with Google.

    I don't mean to be negative but I think there's no way to tell... I've been on DP and Sitepoint for a number of years and I've known people that couldn't for the life of them get to even the 2nd page on Google with an exact match keyword and low competition.
    Having said that, I think you should absolutely go for it! Even if half of your sites fall under the above scenario, the typical returns on IM far outperform any other investment, if you put in the effort.
    For example, if you spend $10 on domain and $40 on content/backlinks and the site makes only $5 a month ($60/Yr), from a purely financial standpoint, that's over 100% ROI per year... catch my drift?

    Had a beatmaker review site a couple years ago that got to 1 place in google in like 18 hours and started making me money at the same time
