Internet Marketing - Reasons why you should NEVER GIVE UP.

Just read a thread on here that inspired me to write this.

So you want to be an internet marketer. You’ve read about all those success stories. You read through dozens of sales copy by top gurus. You may have invested your own money and time into this and weeks later you realize that it isn’t quite as simple as the sales page made it out to be.

I read numerous threads on here about people deciding to throw in the towel and call it quits. If you’re that kind of person, that is fine.

Some may be content with a 9 to 5 job, minimal benefits, and possibly job security. Some may even be content with a job flipping burgers for a nominal wage.

I personally think very differently.

If you haven’t made any money on the internet consider the following:

The most important thing a person can do is stop making excuses for why something doesn’t work. The fact of the matter is this: If you haven’t made any money on the internet then you didn’t follow the system and you didn’t put in the time and effort to make it work, a failure only on your part.

If you wish to be successful you need to possess certain traits, like discipline, belief in yourself, and the desire to succeed. For some getting this mindset will take some soul searching and figuring out why you want this to work for you.

We are all human and all 99.999% capable of doing anything the next person can do. Every guru had a humbled beginning. Every marketing expert in existence had a beginning and started from nothing whether you’re Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Eben Pagan, etc.

The difference between those guys and a newbie struggling to make ends meet is their overall attitude and the perseverance.

If you haven’t made money on the internet asks yourself the following questions:

1. Did I stick to one course, and then mastered and applied everything I learned?

2. How much time have I devoted to not only LEARNING internet marketing but applying what I learned?

3. Did I look at my mistakes and learned from them?

4. Am I fully committed to making this work, no matter what?

5. Am I willing to do the boring stuff, invest my own money, and time to make this work?

6. Did I align myself with the right people who can help me succeed?

7. Did I ask questions and did I continue to ask WHY?

It’s easy to make a bold claim that a program just doesn’t work or isn’t for everyone. But what people need to realize is that “not for everyone” is an imaginary idea created and decided by one person: YOU.

If you tell yourself that you can’t do something, surely you can’t. And with that kind of attitude there is no chance in hell you will convince anyone to believe that you can offer them VALUE and succeed.

If you’re the kind of person who goes from one marketing program to the next ask yourself WHY?

Are you really doing this to become more successful or could this be a habit designed to help you procrastinate and avoid doing the things you need to be doing in order to succeed.

If you bought a course, why not stick with it until you succeed. Why not ask questions on the forums and learn from your errors and triumphs. If you’re going to fail, then do so but make sure you get something in return such as the knowledge and experience in knowing what not to do next time.

Every lesson is valuable. Every experience is worth wile.

If you want something bad enough, you can get it. It will take work and it may be a roller coaster ride. Every success story comes at a price. The question is, are you willing to pay that price to succeed?

No Excuses.

If you can’t afford web hosting, then save up some money. If you’re so broke that you can’t afford that then save up some change. If you save 33 cents a day, in 30 days you’ll have 10 bucks, more than enough to cover basic hosting costs. Of course this is just one example.

If you truly believe in something and know it will work you will invest both your time and money assuming you want to succeed bad enough.

The internet is an incredible place both for learning, connecting, and selling. You need not purchase a 2,000 dollar course created by that guru. The warrior forum has plenty of information. And if you’re that disparate to get that course you can still BORROW it until you can afford it. Now by no means am I encouraging anyone to illegally download anyone’s material, but the fact of the matter is that, it’s all out there and quite easy to find with a little bit of research. And all that is thanks to the INTERNET.

I see the internet as a world of opportunities to learn and to create success for yourself. The moment I realized that everything I see on the web was created by somebody, I also realized that I can do it to. There are books, youtube videos, discussion threads, and courses about everything and the opportunities are endless.

As long as you have a computer (or access to one) and some basic software you can do it to. Hell, you can even download trial copies of professional software like Adobe, allowing you to create even better, more professional content, whether it be a logo or a site.

Google, YouTube, and forums like this one really do open up a whole new world of possibilities for us. We can learn about anything. It just takes a little bit of research and commitment.

Realize that today it is easier than ever to be an entrepreneur and marketer. The information available is endless. The tools available are more powerful than ever before.

Something that took hours to do a few years back now takes just a few clicks. The key is to find the tools you need and to avoid the clutter that you don’t need.

Years ago when the internet wasn’t available, a business owner would spend thousands of dollars for physical real estate space for their business. Today all you need is a 10 dollar hosting plan that I might add comes with free advertising too.

With so many opportunities and resources there should never be an excuse for not succeeding.

Stop buying into the idea of “get rich quick.” The fact of the matter is this: Any success requires time, hard work, and commitment.

Be prepared to work hard, ask questions, and put your best foot forward.

Desire success.

Create Goals.

Know your why.

Work hard.

And most importantly…NEVER GIVE UP.

Good luck with all your success.

I think what most people fail to realize is that it takes weeks, months, or even years to become a overnight success. I will also be the first to say that I was guilty of this when I first started looking into making money online.

Thanks very much for sharing. I've been doing it for 6 months and I thought about giving up many times even though I've made a few sales. It's not meant to be easy. As you said, Never Give Up!

There were times when I doubted myself as well. But every time I even have the slightest bit of doubt, I recall a book I recently read about Steve Jobs. The author recalls Steve Jobs working from his hospital bed when he was really ill with Cancer. Everyone around him wasn't even sure if he would live to see another day but his determination kept him going. Phil Schiller (an apple Exec) brought an iPhone into the hospital room and all Steve could think of was showing off how cool the phone was. Now that's inspiration!

I totally agree with you. Being satisfied with a ordinary job is not an option. You have to look at it this way, no matter how long it takes once you do you will never have to work for someone else again!

Beautiful post. Its not about the obstacles in your way but how you overcome them.

Most people dont believe that they can instantly get out of debt. Most people dont think they can instantly lose weight. Most people dont instantly think they can gain pounds and pounds of muscle.

But for some reason tons of people are stuck in thinking that they are just one more purchase away from the incredible push button system that will earn them tens of thousands.

It just doesnt work like that. There is alot of hard work and thinking involved. Challenges must be met and overcome. Innovations must be thought of. Its much like any other adventure in life. The journey is just as important as the end destination. Without the proper lessons and fundamentals of hard work in place people are bound to continue chasing the instant millionaire pipe dream

I don't have it in me to give up. I am too pigheaded and stubborn to give up. It's a good thing I don't smoke. haha

The more obstacles that get in my way, the more determined I am. Every time I have the feeling to give up, I stop what I am doing, go for a drive or get some fresh air, and start it again tomorrow. Sometimes, all you need to do is clear your head. I always view tomorrow as another day and another opportunity for a fresh start.

Nice, your post reminds me, like Napoleon Hill said in his groundbreaking book: Think And Grow Rich...

The first thing you need to do is get a chief aim (goal) and then a burning desire for it's achievement.

Most people don't have a burning desire. They think they do, but the proof is how much success they have had. Success in anything is in direct proportion to how strong your burning desire is for that success.

That book is responsible for making more successes than any other book by the way...

Awesome post alphalife, this should be inspiring to anyone out there. One quote I think of all the time whenever I feel down is a quote by a youtube friend of mine who we share the same interests, and the quote is this:

"Those who do today what others won't
Will do tomorrow what others can't"

The things that inspire us, and your post has given me more inspiration. Thanks heaps dude

This entire post is awesome...really terrific! This is one of the best posts (on any topic) that I have ever read here at WF. You hit the target dead center when it comes to the reasons why many of us fail, and nailed it on the things we need to do to succeed.
