more tag on home page sticky article question

Hello there,

I was browsing a topic about Amazon templates, where clickbump was talking about:

Quote:
"Yes, just don't designate a post as sticky and use the "More" link insert tool to add a post summary break point to each of your front page posts. I don't recommend this unless you don't care about ranking the front page (which is usually the most heavily trafficked page in your site)."

Can anyone please explain, what practice is bad or what he was trying to say:

1. not to put whole article on the home page?
2. not to put sticky article to home page?
3. Should we rather have Page instead of post, or combination?

And the reason I am asking, I do care about ranking, as all of us

Best regards
Srdjan

I got scenario like this: On home page I got 3 article posts, all with read more, and there are only 3 articles on whole site. KW are visible on all three article before "read more"
What will be better, to post first article as sticky post without "read more" and other two with "read more", or to put on home just page, and other articles complitly separately. Are there any benifites to have sections of other two posts?

Hello clickbump, and thanks for the reply.

My initial thinking was if I had more articles on the home page that all will contribute to the whole site exposure at once.

So in a contrary, if I understood you correctly, you say that I should make a home page as a static page, and the other articles I can also make as a pages too? as I don't need posts anymore, since they are not going to appear on the Home Page?

Anotherwords you are using articles as a posts.
          a) On the front page you put Page with article in category, say "Home"
          b) Article "inbeaded" on the Page, which is Home Page

Other articles, they are "collected" by other pages, or in the Categorys Menu or in a normal menu with url?

Sorry to pick your brain as much, you just inspire me to ask
