Question For JVZoo Product Owners

This question is for those who are using JVZoo tosell a downloadable product and are NOT using the Protected Download option.

How do you deliver your product to your customers? Are you using a membership software or Optimizepress, profit theme or something else? Does the system you use integrate JVZoo and your autoresponder to deliver the customer a password and login details?

Your help is appreciated.

Hi Marcus. I took Will's advice and got DAP (Digital Access Pass). I've also recently heard many good things about DLGuard which also integrates with JVZoo and a number of other payment processes.

You need to host your files somewhere. I recommend using Amazon S3 as it is quickly becoming the standard for hosting downloads and videos nowadays. It is cheap, reliable, and nice and fast for your customers.

Once you have your files on Amazon S3 you then need to protect those files.

      DLGuard is one such option.

I've used DAP with JVZOO on multiple sites for a while now and it has worked flawlessly. If there ever any problems, the support at DAP is awesome!

Amazon s3 is about the cheapest and most reliable, while I have most of the software, I am usually lazy and just put it up on a different domain.

One thing I do though is make sure if the leechers come in they have to sign up to get it. Leechers buy too, no matter what people say, so I have a paying customer that stole from me? Makes no sense but none of this does.

If you don't want to use a membership software there is an "easier" way...

Create a squeeze page, have it redirect to the download page after optin...

Put another optin form on your download page (for those that find your product w/o buying)...

Then you simply enter the URL of your squeeze page as the "delivery URL" at JV Zoo and you are all set :-)

Also, be sure to put a link at the bottom of the squeeze page somewhere that allows them to bypass it so you stay kosher with PayPal and be sure to set the "already subscribed" link to be the download page also (for your returning customers).

But for what it's Worth DAP is a great option if you decide to use a membership software.

I don't worry to much about protecting my content - because if it's downloadable it can (and will) still end up on the "blackhat" sites.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers,
    Coby

One of the best ways to protect your Thank You pages can be found on this link:

How can I protect my Thank You page from people who did not purchase? - Powered by Kayako case Help Desk Software

This is great knowledge for any one who is needing this done. It is pretty simply but if you are not tech savvy then you should look at hiring a freelancer to do this.

Also to protect the download itself using .htaccess files is a good way.

Overall I would recommend having a site where users will have to log into a secure section once they have made a purchase to download the product. Wordpress is a great platform for this and many plugins allow you to do just this.
