Article Marketing Short articles

Does anyone use short articles for Internet Marketing? I have found an article directory that allows articles that are a minimum of 200 words. Do you think it is a good idea to use them or should I stick with article directories that require 400+ word articles? With the whole Panda thing, not sure which route to take. I have noticed that the short articles I submitted were indexed pretty fast and for some of my articles have landed on the 1st page of Google... I just don't want to waste my time....

200+ articles, no matter how grammatically correct they are, won't do extremely well. Especially consider the article directory probably won't rank the site high regardless (like Ezines did back in the day). If you've written some and they show up on the first page, though, maybe I'm wrong. Could test it - what do you have to lose? Throw a couple up and see what happens I suppose.

It will perhaps help you a lot to read posts #2 and #6 of this thread (and then check out all the links in post #2, too): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ries-work.html

Forgive me, please, if I'm casting erroneous aspersions, but the wording of your post suggests very strongly to me that you may not quite appreciate what article directories are for, and therefore how to use them.

This post from yesterday could possibly help, there: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5685756

No, indeed - a huge consideration to anyone running a business, really. Bear in mind that many people who are trying to "do article marketing" without clearly appreciating the differences between "article marketing" and "article directory marketing" do in fact do exactly that, which is why there are 100 threads in this forum with titles like "Is Article Marketing Dead?"

I'm sticking to Ezine. I like to share valuable content & articles with my audience, and Ezine provides a great way to do that. Ezine gives you the possibility to improve your writing skills and become a platinum or diamond writer which is awesome.

It's just my opinion, as a reader, that 200 word articles usually don't provide much good information. In many cases they prove to be such superficial attempts at the topic as to make them pretty useless. Hard to see those getting ranked well by Google long term.
