I finally made my first $100

**UPDATE**

This thread is two months old. Some one bumped it. SInce making this $100 in Feb, I have made $xxxx. I thank you for the congrats on the $100, but I am WAY past that now.

What did I do? I developed a system. I stuck with that system and tested different niches. I then kept testing and testing, and now I have a successful online business.

If you want to be successful - TAKE ACTION, LEARN, TAKE MORE ACTION, TEST, TAKE MORE ACTION, and you WILL SUCCEED.

** End of Update**

I just checked my CB stats. As of today, I have now made my first $100 selling affiliate products. In fact, I have made $122.00, plus another $20 in adsense. I havent got a check yet, but it is still pretty cool.

Since I made that money from things I learned in his thread. This is how I did it:

I created 4 sites in four different niches.
I created a sales page as the main page for each site.
I added a blog to each site /blog
I bookmarked each site
I made 5 posts on each blog and bookmarked them using socialmarker
I began my article marketing campaign.
I have now written about 67 articles over those niches.
The articles drive traffic and have resulted in most of my sales.
A couple of sales came from marketing on Yahoo answers. (I have a knack for getting best answers.)
Granted it took me 6 weeks to make that hundred - and I worked my butt off!

Anyway, I think the key to making money is taking action. I dont think there is any real secret per say, but there is some great info out there in some WSO's - particularly Jeremy's WSO's. The things he has shared with me via PM are AMAZING!

I now need to figure out how to increase sales a bit. I think a couple of my niches were duds, but I learned how to drive traffic to them. Even though they didnt make much in sales - the experience and lessons learned were worth $$$$ Once I find a couple of good niches, using the same keyword research and SEO on my articles, I will have a nice business!

Great, thanks for this.. I'm just starting out like many on here and I've been trying to lay down a clear strategy to start making money. I'm not greedy, $100 I'd be thrilled! I had never heard of socialmarker, great tip. I'm about to start submitting all my sites to it. It seems like article marketing can be very effective, those 67 articles are you submitting to multiple directories, or keeping it unique? Thanks, and congrats!

Well done. I think my strategy is very similar to yours. I have a couple of questions for you.

You say the main page is a sales page. Do you mean that you have set a static page as the landing page (with links to the rest of the site/blog on the side or bottom) or is it a completely separate page with no links to your blog?

I am using wordpress so I can set it up either way. At the moment both my xxxxxx.com and xxxxxx.com/blog land on the same page (the blog)

Are the blog posts the same as the articles you've put on the article web sites or completely different?

I only submit to ezinearticles. After my articles go live, I take the same article and post them to my blog. I have them set to auto update every couple of days. I am not worried about duplicate content, as long as there are no duplicates on my site.

I mean - COME ON! Other people are publishing my articles , too. Why cant I publish them myself?

Socialmarker is awesome, but you need to take a couple of hours and register to every site on there first. It sucks - but it is an awesome tool!

I have a static page on the index, then a wordpress blog. I did that before I knew you could set a static page in wordpress DUH! The blog posts are still on the backend, kinda.
Some templates have page templates where you can remove the sidebars on the home page, if you do not like those sidebars on the static page.

My blog posts are identical to my articles. See above...

Hi brother with anything to obtain better results scale it up . Outsource some of the work .I am a firm believer in outsourcing as it has enabled me to obtain great highs . I now have free time to do whatever I want .

The hard part you have already done you have obtained the key to what it takes to earn income . Now share that key with some outsourcers and ramp it up a notch . You will quickly see a jump in income .

That is great. It might have taken 6 weeks, but now you have all these things in place, and they are going to start to grow on their own now. That is the problem most people have, they give up before they even start. You have to work a lot at first getting things rolling, then you can slow down a little, and it will keep growing.

Congratulations

There is a bunch of good info on how to do this but pretty much none ever get any results as they overthink or try to make it perfect or get scared by doing something wrong.

You have to pretty much ignore the daily hype of new systems and just get something up that makes some money.

I set up a new review site (remember them?) every week and spend most of my time researching the best markets. The sites themselves are pretty basic but I just get them up and running.

The feeling og getting that first email to say "you've just referred a sale" or "you've got funds" or checking your cb account and seeing some money in there is the biggest rush and more than that real hard evidence to replace that hope you have been living on for so long.

I'll echo the congrats...

The cool thing about the fact that you've written a lot of articles is that those should provide passive traffic for well into the future. You might try reading those articles into a microphone, making short videos out of them and using the content as videos to double your reach. TrafficGeyser does a great job of submitting stuff like that.

I have made a lot more than $100 since then. That was just the beginning.

I found that reaching $100 was difficult, but after that it became real easy. It is all about testing and acting.

Yes. You have made the right choices and taken the correct steps.

Now, you have to replicate your success to generate more of the $100 made. Don't re-invent the wheels but replicate it again and again with other niches. Hope to hear you saying .... I have made $10,000!

As I can see, you seem to understand how IM works. And you can do various testing to further improve the sales. Remember to stick with the basic strategy that has got you making your $100.

The cool thing about the fact that you've written a lot of articles is that those should provide passive traffic for well into the future. You might try reading those articles into a microphone, making short videos out of them and using the content as videos to double your reach. TrafficGeyser does a great job of submitting stuff like that.
