How much do custom WordPress/CMS themes usually cost?

I'm looking at a theme for my future project. I won't find one given the niche, so I was wondering how much I can get a really attractive WordPress theme for?

I want it to have a quality looking squeeze page on it and pages for product descriptions/etc. The blog isn't really important, which is why a non-WP CMS would go fine.

It really depends. For super customized with custom plugins, it can go for thousands. However, for a basic theme it can be few hundred to a thousand or so. If you have any questions feel free to ask or pm me.

It really depends where you look, a few months back I wanted a costume WP theme I contacted some of the top designers and they wanted me to pay about $2,000 to $5,000.

As I was looking @ themeforest.net for examples I sow a really cool theme that almost had exactly what I wanted.

So instead of going back to the top designers I PM'ed the coder of that specific theme and I asked if he could implement what I wanted...he got back to saying that he wanted $300 to do that... I paid him without thinking twice and got exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the cost.

it depends of the quality/complexity of the theme
without knowing more details prices around $400/$500 seems a good value for what you are asking.

It really matters on what functions you want the theme to perform, the custom ability you want them to create, etc. There are many factors that come into play here. It could range from $150 to $5,000.

Thanks everyone. I'm not too fussed about functionality. Just want the aesthetic value there. It'd be hard for me to find a theme and say I want this, but this done differently because what I want is so unique. But I'm sure I could pick a sort of structure/layout and have some custom graphic work done.

As long as it comes with a squeeze page or it allows me to easily make one, that's really all the functionality I'll be needing.

Makes sense, you're looking for a unique design that's aesthetically pleasing, and just basic WP functionality. This type of project would obviously be heavily focused on the "front end" design.

    Hello Harvey,

My pricing for a Custom Worpress theme starts at around $800 - but ultimately pricing is based on the type of design you're looking for, functionality, etc.

    Best of luck,
    Ahmad

Custom Wordpress themes can start anywhere from $500 and end up till $5000 or more depending on the requirement. But if you just looking for a static HTML version you can get the site done for very cheap. But the pricing would really depend on your exact requirement.

Alternately checkout optimizepress for squeeze pages, they are very popular.

Can you explain how much a static HTML site might be? I don't really need much functionality, as I've said, so this might be a better option.
