Ok, this one is tongue in cheek but I had to post it.

Some people insist that Warriors are not worthy with a post count of less than 50.

Some people will not accept others as affiliates unless they have reached some set point of post but I am still bemused as to why.

When I ask this question on other forums, I have heard people say that affiliates with 0 post counts have outsold affiliates with hundreds or thousands of posts so why turn your back on these?

I have also seen top selling Warriors that regularly sell over 1000+ copies on each launch with post counts under 50 so again where is the logic?

I prefer to apply a more rational bar to my thinking but even so, I am curious as to why some people think the above is a valid measure of an affiliate.

Maybe it is just one of those old wives tales that just need to be aired for common sense to prevail.

I guess you're an exception. So long as people know you produce quality content, post count is really irrelevant. I can understand from a WSO buyer point of view that you don't want to be purchasing products from untrustred members.

You never know how long someone has actually been in IM. It often has nothing to do with how long they've been a member of the forum. It may also have nothing to do with how long they've been reading the forum before they became a member. A lot of very experienced marketers haven't heard of the Warrior Forum, and they join when they discover it, after already establishing solid IM credentials elsewhere. Other people read the forum for ages before joining, and also have established IM careers. Still others are just too busy making money to post very often!

So no, I don't think post count, or even the join date, has much bearing on whether or not a person should sell a WSO or be an affiliate of one. It's quality of content and experience in marketing that makes a difference in these two areas.

Not many people understand that a lot of the Warriors who are extremely successful are that way because they don't spend all day posting on Warrior Forum!!

I admit you are right on this one. Still, we need a rating system like the one in FIVerr or Ebay even. That would be a big plus for us. Post count is not that important to me. Allow more chances for new comers. Other wise you will not be getting as many new products and services.

The reason is simply security. Say I’m a bad guy. I need quick cash. I steal your wallet. All you have is a few bucks and some credit cards. I know you will report them stolen and they’ll be useless pretty quickly. So I go to either the Warrior Forum, Jvzoo, anywhere that has instant Paypal payments for affiliate sales.

Then I find something with a great commission, request an affiliate link and then start buying through my own affiliate link with the stolen credit cards. I get the instant payments straight to my Paypal account. I keep doing this until the stolen card is no longer working. I then withdraw the Paypal funds and you’re stuck having to refund everyone’s money. Including my commissions.

This did just happen to a woman on JVZoo which is why at the beginning of this week they sent an email to all stating to be sure not to place your affiliate status on auto-approve.

I personally would never approve someone with zero posts. If you do, I think you are playing Russian Roulette. But it is your decision.
