Hello, noob here with a few questions.

Hi all,

First off, what a great resource this site is. I'm constantly coming back here to read new stuff, and DEFINITELY suffering from information overload. It's like I have no idea where to start. I guess my few questions are this:

1. What is the war room? I see everyone talking about it. What's inside it that is very valuable to noobs like me? I always see don't "buy" anything, so much free stuff on here, but yet you have to pay money for this as well? Some mixed info for me for sure as a newbie.

2. Some of the acronyms I just don't understand. What does WSO mean? What does CPA mean? I hear CPA and I think of a accountant. I picked up on SEO (search engine optimization) but some of these acronyms I'm just not used to. Almost like learning a new language.

3. Last question, where would be a great place in here or guide (Free to start) to at least point us newbies in the right direction. With so much information to sift through, I can't understand half the stuff everyone is talking about. I need to go to the beginning and learn to crawl so I can focus on the basics before I can learn to walk and eventually later take action and run with it.

Anyways, I do thank anyone who helps me and points me in the right direction.

Thanks all,
Jase

Is this free? I just looked at the thread and it says $97 setup fee and $47 a month after that.

Yeah I looked at it too and noticed it wasn't "free". Obviously, I passed on the deal. I'm not ready for anything to buy yet. Too much other information on here to go through first.

Hey Jase welcome to the WF

I'd start out right here where you are.

Try to soak up as much information as you can about Internet Marketing.

Soon you'll start getting the hang of things.

You'll then decide in what area of IM you want to explore and begin taking action. You can join the War Room if you want and get some more advanced stuff under your belt.

But for now right here is a good place to start.

Read Read and Read as many threads as you can until some of this stuff becomes second nature. Also follow up on the things you've learned here so you can become more familiar with them.

        Good Luck

          Signing out,

          Jase,

While I have been here a while I too am just starting out. So let me point you to a tread that was given to me on a past post of mine (http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...me-please.html)

I found this tread very informative and go back to it often. Also use the search feature here as it also is very useful. Find one thing and stick with it till you have it down and make some cash. as I always hear here, then rinse and repeat.

          Here is that thread:

Before you buy any WSO's (Warrior Special Offers) or join the War Room, take a week or two and read the main forums (you are on them now). There is a wealth of knowledge here to get you started before you ever spend a dime.

    Hi Jase,

The WarRoom is a paid area where you can get access to some great resources and tools. It's a once off fee of $37 and you will recoup that very quickly.

WSO stands for Warrior Special Offer which are products sold by warriors for a special price to fellow warriors for a while, before the creators take them out to a bigger market at a higher price.

For starters, get hold of Paul Myer's book at www.talkbiz.net. It's free and it covers all the basics for you, plus he gives you some really good business advice.

All of your questions would be answered in the War Room. It's the paid membership area of the WF (WarriorForum). It's definitely worth the minor cost for all of the help and info. that is in it.

Thank you all for your replies. I don't even know how to thank you for posting in my thread. (still need to learn how to thank you all)

I will look into those free resources and I'm still scouring around on here and trying to learn more.

The little thank button on the bottom right of all posts when you are signed in. Last button on the right.

I don't see any thank button. Just a quick reply and quote button. Do I have to have a certain number of posts? Thank you for replying though.

Also, no one told me what CPA stands for? Sorry I get lost in here reading about so much different stuff, I look for it then get side-tracked by so much other interesting information.

EDIT: Found the thanks button. Looks like I needed 5 posts for it to show up.

CPA = Cost per Action (Acquisition). It's typically associated with email-submit type offers.

You are on your way, Jase. Great questions. Great insight and analogy, "learn to crawl." Don't get discouraged. You will get a valuable morsel here and there that you might have had to pay dearly for, either in time lost learning it, or hiring an expert to help you.....and sometimes the experts aren't really experts!!!

Take notes. You will want to separate and create a filing system, because much of what you see here will be useful.

    Jase1977,

I just want you to know that you should "take your time." It is very very easy to get to information overload in a short time. Learn as much as you can but don't over do it every night. My advise would be to take a hour or two on the forum each night and spend the rest of the night focusing on one thing. Maybe that one thing is niche, traffic, product who knows but don't spread yourself out in too many directions.

Since there are some good answers for 1 and 2, I'm going to go for question 3.

Pay the fee to be a war room member. Invest in yourself. Search for a topic you're interested in to make money from....wsos, adsense, list building, cpa etc.

Read and absorb what you can, then take action based on what you've learned. The key to making information overload extinct is having a focused systematic approach to information.

      What does that mean?

Well, a big part of making money, and lots of it, by marketing products and services, is having a sales "system" or "funnel"....Finding a potential customer, then building a relationship with him/her, then making money from them...repeat.

Now, when you are seeking info on how to do something....remember the goal is to DO SOMETHING, not to seek information, so

Let's say you want to make money from cpa offers..your focused systematic approach would look like this..

      Get war room membership
Search the term "cpa" in the war room
Read some ebooks and watch videos on the subject
      Learn and Take Notes
Do what the products say...ex...apply for cpa accounts
      Interpret results
      Correct Mistakes
      Repeat....

Now you can take this approach to any discipline you want to learn in life.

Have 5 or 6 steps, a beginning and an end.

You can expand or contract this..make it comfortable for you.

I believe you need to have an approach and an end in mind because it's so easy to get overwhelmed in here.

Attempt it and let me know how it works for you..I have no doubt that you'll get alot accomplished by having a focused systematic approach.

      eric w

      Your focused systematic approach

i find it really helpful to take notes in notepad or whatever text editor you have, as you go through the threads. Keep them small and aptly titled for easy retrieval later. Copy and paste relevant info and links, comments, and the url of the thread for later reference. Then save related notes in a folder, and you're good to go!

Wow, thank you all. I totally forgot about my post because I got caught up on other reading on here, especially from Alexa. Yes, I'm absorbing a lot, and have been taking notes on specific things. I have been organizing it all, then breaking it down into categories in MS Word. After that I will go on to learning one topic in specific, learn it, (hopefully master) then go to the next task and so on. I think the most I have learned so far is, you need a plan and have to organize it from your learning first, then apply what you have learned to your business. The hardest part for me now is all the technical stuff. I have no idea how to use wordpress and customize it or anything. (My next task)

Again thank you all, I do appreciate it. I love this community so far.

Jase, you should definitely invest in a War Room membership -- there are many products and WSOs (Warrior Special Offers) that are available to you as a member for FREE that are still being sold to non-members. It will definitely pay for itself in no time.

I was thinking about learning for one week for free first. There's just too much free information here to even think about getting into the war room right now. After I learn what I can from here, I will draw up a plan and take action. Then once I make a few sales (hopefully) use that to re-invest into the war room. (at least that is my plan for now)

Thank you though for your input!
