Hi

I have been reading a lot about how people goto seminars and meet new people.. I just love meeting new people specially in internet marketing cause there is so much you can talk about..

But in india its like you say i am doing internet marketing. and they are like whats that?.. It takes me so much time to explain and in the end they think i am wasting my time doing this.!... For once i would like to meet an indian with this professional.. Just so we can discuss ideas, help each other..

Sounds like you have a golden opportunity to set yourself up as an expert. Do you have ways to do conduct a free seminar or something? Perhaps there are other Indians that would like to know quick and easy ways to make some money online. Perhaps coach them on how they can offer some sort of a service (writing, blog commenting, SEO, etc.) I would imagine most countries are the same in that they all have people that need to make more money.

I'm not sure what sort of venues you'd have open to conduct a seminar, but perhaps an hour presentation at a local library or university. I've heard of other IMers getting their start by offering this education to students. Students are always broke and in need of money LOL

That can be discouraging but then there's always the option of webinars, skype mastermind groups and forums. I'm sure there's a lot to exploit with these. And at the rate IM is growing, you'll soon start attending seminars even in the North Pole.

I'm pretty sure there are thousands of others like you in your country. And India does have seminars of this kind, just dig a little deeper and google.

Ayush, I completely agree with you. When I tell people that I am working online doing designing and other internet marketing to make money, they are like "What? I don't understand how you do that or what you actually meant".

That is quite common but if you are interested we can surely arranging meeting in Mumbai,India. We can contact various people via warrior forum, advertise a bit on this forum. I am 100% sure will get more then 100 people who would be ready to meet up people where they can share their views, ideas and success stories.

If you are interested, hit me up a PM and we can on and make things possible. Infact we can arrange the 1st huge Unofficial meeting on all Indians on warrior forum.

Instead of complaining because no one in your country is taking a lead on this, how about you taking the lead on it?

Create your own seminars, invite people to speak, and promote it as you promote anything else.

You might also want to look into a website called MeetUps.com to see if there is anything going on close to you. You may just be surprised.

      Hi Ayush,

Am also an Affiliate Marketer from Mumbai, India. I also get the same response from Peoples & my Friends when I reply them for the same queries. It's probably because IM is entirely a new concept in India. Many of us are also skeptic about working online and consider it as waste of time as you will not get paid for the work.

I also agree with Udit, we can make a community and arrange meetings In Mumbai. I would be a great opportunity for us to share ideas, solve problem and fun.

I think this is a great idea.

Judging from the posts in this forum IM is booming in India just ahead of the country itself becoming more Internet enabled.

Many IMers from India face the same problems nad I think an authoritative IM blog aimed at the Indian market has huge potential.

Just taking good PLR, rebranding it with the company name and culturally friendly images would sell well.

Start a forum and some Skype groups, etc.

I'm curious... what answer do you give them? How do you define IM to people who don't already know what it is?

I'd get my thinking hat on here if I lived in India!

You guys could be sitting on top of a goldmine if you began the first network of internet marketers. Imagine holding seminars, workshops, running membership sites that teach people all about IM.

You would be like pioneers of this industry in India. Think about it?!

Maddi Murtaza did it for a bit in Pakistan...

If he can get it to work in Pakistan, then I am sure India will be easier.

There are seminars in India, depending on your niche.

For example, the pick up industry holds seminars in India.

Another thing, there are threads where people identify what country they are from, to find fellow citizens, on this forum.

Feeling alone has nothing to do with your ability to market, and in fact; you should throw that idea out the window. Quit blaming your country, or your nationality for your inability to find ways to get things done. There are always ways, it may not be the thing that every other guy and their dog is doing, but that is the blessing in disguise.

I think that may well have been true in 1996, around the time I got started working
on the Web... but not any longer.

In fact, around 2001, I was tempted to start a group for Indian IM'ers, because
there were SO MANY of them I noticed in various niches!

Could be you just need to look harder - or in different places.

The only issue with a Skype group is that you are limited to 300 people in a room.

Skype rooms often lose their luster as a small group of people will talk about absolutely nothing for days. I belong to several Skype groups, and at some point, you have to tune them out, especially if there have 2000 messages a day, as some do.

Third, meeting in person is so much better than all other alternatives. I recommend it to everyone.

          LOL

I went to the Warrior Event in North Carolina in March 2012. 200 or so of us managed to make it, but we came in from all over the country.

And it is not necessary that we think alike exactly. There was at least one or two people there who were seriously full of ****, but I didn't hold it against them. :p

Find the people online, and invite them to a central location in your state or in the country.

Thats absurd. Because, I've seen plenty of people on here using Warriors from India for their outsourcing services, and heard both good and bad things about their services.
What I mean to say is that, its not the Country that is damn, its the neighborhood that you are in is.

I am from India and I love it.

We have a huge opportunity here and we are the early guys. We can spread the message, get more people into this field and conduct seminars and workshops.

I am thankful that I am not in US because I wouldn't be ahead of the game if I am there.

I think Bangalore is the good place to conduct meetings and workshops. PM me and we can discuss further!

I am from India .. I completely understand your situation bro!

The problem here is not many people are entrepreneurial in nature .. also entrepreneurship is frowned upon here by general public ... All people want to hear is which corporate company do you work for?

One of the few problems here is of mindset ..

Also I guess another issue is that not many people buy online here in india (atleast not as much as our western counterparts), but I guess that trend is certainly changing.

Look at successful indian sites like flipkart.com, myntra.com, olx, yatra and so many other online businesses running successfully and minting money! This means that there 's definitely a lot of potential for internet marketing in this country!

Anyways, regarding the seminar, I heard recently of an affiliate marketing seminar that took place in mumbai .. But I guess that was a seminar to teach people how to make money online .. and probably to sell some products or something .. didn't go there myself ..

Anyways .. I believe conducting an internet marketing seminars and having speakers speak on various topics would be a great idea ... we definitely are sitting on a gold mine! If you guys are thinking of something ... you can count me in too!

Its true that India is probably a great place to start in I.M. But the biggest problem is that Im'ers from India arent really focused or have exceled in particular niche. I bet 95% of Im'ers from India are in it for the dream of quick money.

I have tried to run a group of Im'ers in India, but as soon as they start working they expect to see the money roll in a couple of days. Whn they dont they quit.

Its hard to differentiate between hu is serious and hu is just in it for the money.

Me- I have been working online for last 3 years, Still havent had the quick rich success bt I have the major idea in all types of marketing form and how it can be used to make money.

Get rich quick is a dream the guru's have been feeding the newbies ... it doesn't exist.

One has to work hard and persevere to achieve success in anything ... That being said, one also needs correct strategies and direction.

Well, I myself have been studying and researching internet marketing since the past year. Haven't had any major successes yet. But I am not giving up that easy .

And maybe the same problem of running a group exists in other places as well. People who try to train people, but nobody follows up because they expect it all to be easy.

Add me up / PM me .. and it would be great to share , discuss and bounce off ideas.

Perhaps, this can be like a test to improve our own marketing skills, if we manage to get many indians with similar interests and form a big community, we can give ourselves plus points for good marketing ! :p
