Hi everybody,

When you write product reviews, do you use "I" or "WE"?

I started off by using "I", but after a while I thought that by using "WE" it might sound more professional. Yesterday I thought about it and found out that "I" might be more personal. And now I am just confused.

What do you guys and girls use?

Cheers

I personally like to use I myself, since your goal is to sell your self, as well as the product

I always use "I" for writing reviews. I get the best results when I write as if I'm talking one on one with the reader.

I always use ' I ' in my reviews, at the end of the day a review should be one persons assumption on a certain product or service.

    Hope this helps

When you write a review, YOU are reviewing the product or service.

So that means that there is no "We" because you are giving your honest, heartfelt opinion that you you either spent time or money on to attain.

    It depends on the Niche.

If your reviewing a Mobile phone as a Professional company then use 'WE'.

But if your promoting a Health product on ClickBank, then use 'I'.

Use "I" for product reviews. A review is your opinion of a product that you used. It wouldn't make sense if you used "we".

It goes without saying that you should use "I" for writing reviews. "We" does not look professional.

Definitely a case of I would think - It's all about what you did. "we" might work if you have two faces in your online business - for example my IM business includes me and myt brother and business partner Anthony.

see when you write reviews if you use i that means your experience in using the product, and if you use we that states as if you talking on behalf of your company, so readers get attracted when they listen to words like i use it as, i felt, i liked.......all that. so you beeter use 'I'

Really, it depends a little bit on the niche. If it's for amazon products, then I would write more neutrally. I wouldn't use I all the time.

If you do an email promotion and have used the product, then always write your own "I" review. A case study of how you used the product and what results you got is the best.

But if it's TV's from Amazon, then this style doesn't suit so well for niche websites. Teenagers love the "I" side, but what if your review was read by 40> year old people? They could view it as unprofessional.

    Well, it sorta depends, though.

it depends on the site where that review will go...

if its a small mini site which looks like its being run by an individual, I would be more appropriate. If its a huge review site, professionally made we would sound more natural...

    just my 2 cent

Some of my sites are my own personal sites. Some are sites that I run with partners. If I'm providing content for my sites, I go with "I". For partner sites, I obviously go with "we".

I always use "I" for product reviews. Because a review is your view point of any service or a product that you used, so how could you use "WE".. You should use "I" for writing reviews.

In my opinion You should Use "I" , Because it is you writing,People should connect to you,"WE" may confuse them and not relate to you personally,I recommend writing "I",It is Better and building more trust So they could BUY what YOU sell,Not what you and other people sell. Hope i could help!
