What exactly do you want to know? I'm a little clueless as to what you're actually asking. 1000 dollars per month for what?

Hey Wicker, I think he's asking if he's going after a niche what would be the ideally global targeted searches for a keyword to make 1000 a month.

As far as that question it's really hard to say. Depends on what kind of product you will be selling on the site.

I have a few sites where am making that much just off of a few hundred visitors.

Keep in mind that not normal by any means. People are looking for what am selling and the commission on that product is 75%.

I usually like to go after keywords with about 10,000 global searches.

      Regards,
      Robert

        Adsense $1cpc keyword: 100.000 exact searches - Position1 = 40k visitors - 5% ctr = 2000 clicks * $0.60 = $1200/month

        Amazon $500,- product - 10.000 exact searches - Position1 = 4000 visitors - 1% ctr = 40 sales * $30 comission = $1200/month

        Own product $5,- - 5.000 exact searches - Position 1 = 2000 visitors - 10% CTR (considering its highly targeted keyword and high CTR cause of immens low purchase price) = 200 sales * $5 = $1000/month

        Real shop selling a treadmill: $1000,- - 1000 exact searches - Position1 = 400 visitors - 1% CTR (Real world example from own experience) - 4 sales * $300 profit = $1200/month

All based on assuming you chose the right niche and a correct way of monetizing The adsense is also from own experience, my kw has 110k exact searches, I rank at #3 and make 250 euro/month.

It all depends really. Let's say each search is a individual person.

You could have a keyword that gets like 50 searches globally per month. It doesn't seem like anyone could make decent money out of it, but in actual fact the market these 50 searches have came from doesn't have any products out there. The buyers within the market are just sitting at the computer waiting to buy something that will help them.

So all the people in the said market are just looking about for some great quality information, but can't find any. So a smart marketer comes along, creates a product. Charges.. Let's say $47 for it.

Then the market go crazy for the product and maybe 40 of the 50 people buy. That's a decent chunk of money for the smart marketer.

I know a couple of people who does this kinda' thing. Just look at unique markets that nobody is confident enough to dwell into.

Personally, I don't ever look at how many people are in a market or how many searches it has. I just take a look at my competition and how responsive the market is.

Your conversion rate on your sales page matters more than the search volume in this equation.

If you cannot convert the traffic you are getting, your search volume could result in millions of visitors and still earn you zero dollars for your effort.

Why you Don’t Get Any Sales! Internet Marketing Math Explained

searches/month ---> clicks to your site ---> clicks to your offer/banner etc.. ---> conversion rate of the offer itself

Short: You need LOTS of traffic

    LONG:

Take the EPS (earnings per sale) of the products, say $30 which is quite typical for lots of CB products.
Take the avg. conversion rate of the product which CAN be anything from 1:50 to 1:100
Take the monthly, local exact searches....and if YOU ARE #1 in Google you can theoretically get 40% of this amount on your site.
Take the number of visitors and how many are clicking your offer once on your site.
Then look at the conversion rate how many clicks/hops you need on avg. for one sale.

    ***

As a rule of thumb, don't bother with peanuts-keywords of 1000-2000 etc. monthly searches, you will NEVER make anything. 50.000+ and better is where the money is..and you STILL need to be all the way on top in Google
