Can we put affiliate link at the end of our article (on our blog)?

It's probably very simple and childish question, but it's baffling me.

Is it fine to put affiliate link at the end of your (every) article on your blog? Or not?

Or, we should promote affiliate links only through our emails?

(It's my blog, my domain)

Is it some rule in Internet Marketing that we promote ebooks etc. only through emails? Can't we promote at the end of our every article?

I have set the auto-responder but what if I try to promote affiliate link at the end of my every article too?

If it's your blog, your domain, yes, it's okay. If it's blogger, hub pages or any of the 100s of others, they each have their own rules on what you can do.

Nothing wrong with that, but it would be better if the links fit in with the articles and went in the middle. (See my ebook on how to set up your affiliate links. If I had one and it wasn't against forum TOS the link would have gone there.) Probably should have a disclosure on every page that you may make money if they clink on the links. (Use the footer)

    This ^^^

It is your blog on your domain, you write the terms of service for that and you can put your affiliate link where you like.

As Travlinguy said though, if it's a third party site, read their terms of service before you do anything.

....and your question was simple but it was worthy and most definately not childish in any way.

yes, if it is your blog and your site.

However, for higher conversions, hide the links behind words and phrases in the posts themselves and/or fit them into the text so that it would be a natural thing for someone to click on it to get more.

Since most people only scan the first one, maybe 2 paragraphs, it would be good to have something that fit into the text pretty immediately at the beginning, also.

I don't tend to send people to affiliate links directly from my blog because I've found I get a much higher click through rate and sales rate by building a list and then sending the offers in emails.

This way, I can re-send an offer in a differently worded email. I can segment the emails and re-send to those who didn't open and other things to increase conversions.
