Best book/course for sales funnels/email marketing

Hello WF.

Basically I've reached around $3-4k a month from IM through CPA and Amazon. And this is great. It's far more than I've ever made at a day job and I'm still scaling it up.

But what I really want to start getting into is niche info marketing. I've done bits and pieces from looking at what others are doing. I've got a 'how to xxx xxx xxx' site getting about a 10% opt-in rate and a 1% sale on those opt-ins. This is also based on a pretty small sample of 3k~ UV's.

So I get the basics but I'm looking for something which can help me scale this up. I know enough to split and multivariate test but when it actually comes to copy for sales pages and emails I get the theory - but my open/read/CTR/conversion rates are far from ideal.

So basically I'm looking for some advice on a course or book to go for here. Someone suggested Mass Control 2.0 but that seems to have sold out and everything I see from frank is about product launches to large niches.

Oh and preferably something which doesn't focus on the IM niche.

Appreciate anyone who can help me out on this. All this split testing and reverse engineering what I see others do is one thing - but I'd rather understand what I'm doing and improve my metrics on purpose - not by accident.

(Feel free to send me affiliate links or suggest your own product)

Cheers

Everything you need to know is totally free.

    Try using:
    -Google
    -Search function.

Alex jeffries has a couple of products out there that are pretty good. If you do end up purchasing something, defianatly go with something from him. Great teacher.

I've seen plenty of free stuff around - most of it just goes over the basic stuff. Build a list, create a relationship and promote quality products.

It's that free information which has got me the sales so far. But I'm looking for something which goes a little beyond the basics. How to write my emails properly and the basics of my sales copy etc...

And if you can do something well - why do it for free? I'm pretty sure any decent course out there isn't going to be free. Cheers for the name - I'll take a look for anything related he's done. I'm happy to pay for something which would show me how to expand on this. The problem is all the products I see people suggest are either sold out (Mass Control 2.0) or blind sales letters (90% of Clickbank).

I've heard Andre Chaperon has some great email marketing stuff. I have not gone through it, but I have some of his other stuff which is always really good, but he is particularly known for his email marketing skills.

you can check them out at:

    Autoresponder Madness (Official Site)

And conversion sales funnel stuff you can try Rob on this forum, one of his WSO's was:

Heh, I actually bought that WSO a while back. I don't use it personally because of the permalinks structure but I've made my own version with PHP and it certainly works.

I'll take a look at autoresponder madness - cheers.

You can definitely get both of those rates higher, how have you been generating the traffic so far? Conversions come down to relevancy of traffic + message to market match - which come down to a combination of understanding your target market (at an emotional level) and copywriting techniques. You can setup a brilliant sales funnel, but if the source of your traffic is too general or your message is off (by even a small amount), your conversions will suffer.

As for places to look for help...I would study major magazines closely, look at the headlines, ads and content closely to understand the techniques and buzzwords. Study the great copywriters like Halbert, Carleton, Sugerman. But don't ignore studying closely the language and hot buttons your own target market give you through discussion forums, in-person via consulting or seminars, or as part of a survey campaign.

You can also study the techniques at this site focused on InfoProduct Marketing -

Finally, I've found Ben Settle's stuff really informative - here is his blog.

The traffic is organic SEO with a problem and the offer is exactly what they want. I've a lot of experience within the niche so I know some buzzwords which will work but my copy is pretty poor.

Thanks for the advice - I know for a start my headers need work.
