Please.....Need Help with Domain Name!

I'm hoping all you wonderful Warriors will set me straight on this little but important decision.

I have decided on a name for my local internet marketing business. The problem is it includes a number and I'm not sure if I should use it spelled out or not. I have bought both domain names now just need to decide which one to use.

Should i go with Spy60 dot com or SpySixty dot com.

Would you think its ok to use one for the domain name and the other for logos and branding?

    Just choose either one and redirect the other to it. But I'd definitely stick to using one URL only.

    Use:
    Spy60 dot com - Much better for branding, easier to remember.

    Also,

    I would recommend you still register the "spysixty" dot com domain name and redirect it to spy60 dot com, that way if a customer was misinformed, or accidentally types "sixty" instead of "60" they will still be redirected to the proper domain.

      I also happen to like Spy60, but were it me, would grab both spysixty and spy60, and consider spy60 your 'main' and forward/redirect the other to it (your domain control panel will usually make this easy).
      Consider the confused customer who is perplexed after hearing on the radio to visit spy sixty dot com... the intrepid visitor types into their browser 'www.spy .... ' CRAP was it 60, or sixty??? Oh well, let's try sixty : and they are right... or, they try 60, and they are STILL right! This is a win/win, and it only cost you 10 extra bucks for the domain

    If you have some extra money, register both, domain names is not expensive

    Spy60 is a lot better since you can play around with the logo more (if you don't have one). Plus it looks a lot better than spysixty when it is shown in your site.

    I've studied some psychology and how we humans process things. And when it comes down to it, it's been proven that we remember words a lot more then numbers - when it comes to domain names especially.

    For example, the internet is a series of addresses to a website destination. The typical website domain address in it's basic 'code' form, is a series of numbers. LITERALLY. Just like our IP numbers.

    The reason why we have domain names now is because we as individuals can RELATE and better recall letters and words.

    My suggestion: Stick with words and letters only. Also, perhaps include a benefit/ promise, and have the domain rhyme.

      Of course it is easier to remember letters when they are in WORDS compared to random IP numbers.

      But if you take random number compared to random words then it is about equal:

      Example:

      IP address 587. 873. 8739. 938
      Domain: gjfutodpqasne.com

      In this case numbers would be easier to remember.

      You were comparing Apples to oranges.

      Why don't you do a "THREAD study" and you will see that most people like spy60 rather then spysixty.

      Use common sense.

    Any time there is an element in a domain name that can be thought of in two different ways (like 60 and sixty), it is vital that you own both variations and redirect one to the other. This is especially true if your website becomes popular. Different people will type in different variations. If you don't own both, someone else will register the other version and you'll have a rather large traffic leak.
