I'd really want to take action but I don't now what niche to start with.

What kind of niche is the best? Something that people don't want to speak about but they search information about it online? Or just niche I'd like to write about?

I tried to use search but I didn't find any answers.

Thanks,
omh

If you have to ask, you probably don't belong in online marketing right now. I'm not saying you not do internet marketing, but maybe find what is your passion before going full into it and committing to a path you might end up regretting.

The reason I say that is because you need something you are passionate about, otherwise you probably won't make it.

That said, a good niche is any niche where people have money and are in trouble.

So, STD testing, lawyers, selling gold. These are all things people need to take care of fast or else they lose money, time, health or relationships.

Try starting off with things that you enjoy doing. After you have come up with things that you enjoy doing, search online to see if there's a niche for it.

See if you can find forums, discussion groups, blogs, high traffic websites, and alot of low competition keyword terms that are within the things that you like to do. Then get a website and autoresponder, and start marketing as usual.

"Search information online" is a plus, certainly. "Don't want to speak about" can have disadvantages, though: it may be a little harder to build a list in those niches, because people may also be reluctant to opt in to a mailing-list that deals with a subject they don't want to talk about. Yes, those can be "desperate buyers' niches", which is a plus, but increasing list-building difficulty can be quite a big minus. Just a thought.

This helps - as long as the things you'd like to write about are "buying niches" with people "looking".

A lot depends on your business model and proposed traffic sources, though. If you're going to be depending on Google for your traffic, that may make your niche-selection process radically different from the situation if you're not?

Find something you're interested in. I wouldn't aim for really any profit in the beginning. You need to learn what you're doing first. Start a blog writing about what interests you. Use Wordpress for your blog and you will get valuable education in many ways just by doing this one thing.

Visit the WF regularly. Once you feel ready and have a niche (because one will eventually pop out to you...trust me!), you need to find a business plan to follow (possibly a WSO or one you find in an ebook) and consistently follow it. If you've been hanging out in the WF for a while you should know if the business plan is a pretty decent one or not. And then just take action consistently (don't get distracted on other business plans!!) for about a year. You'll eventually start to turn a profit.

I think the biggest mistake people make with IM is to expect to come in and start making the big bucks from day one. It rarely happens. And I question those people who do claim they knew nothing about it and then made like $500,000 their first year. It's a marathon not a sprint in this business. Patience is the key. You need education to be successful just like any other job.
