Free email Marketing Software (pop up list builder)

Hey All,

I'm looking for the best free e-mail software there is so I can start building my mailing list...

I know aweber.com and getresponse.com are probably the best on the market but they cost like $17 a month and I'm trying to keep my costs down at the moment.

Could anyone reccommend a free on to me and give me some details on it?

Many Thanks,

Fergal

GetResponse has a free version. With a hosting account
    you can run your own.

I get mlm-spam from dopes who opt-me into their free or
bargain-basement autoresponder. Usually when I unsubscribe
I have it ban my email from the whole system.

If you use one of these free ones you will also have spammers
basically making a lot of your emails not go through. You'll
pay in undeliverability for other people's irresponsible email
    marketing.

Better to mail from your own host in my opinion than mess
with free AR services... other than GR of course.

    Hi,

The fees for AWeber and certainly for GetResponse are not so high when you consider that you'll earn about a dollar a month from every individual on a well kept list (on which you don't only bomb your listees with new products, but also give them valuable info and freebies). With a list of only a few hundred people in your niche you can make some serious money.

When you see it that way, the best place to put your money, is in a decent autoresponder. And no free autoresponder - not even the GR one, which offers YOUR clients a view at THEIR ads - can compete with the service and the quality of the two big competitors.

And besides that: think about the scenario that you start to do well with your e-mail list and you'll have to transfer all the people thereon manually to AWebber or GetResponse... That would be a drag you'd happily pay a few dollars for.

    Yours, autorespondingly, Ed
