How much to charge company ?

So i have been doing IM for some time now but i mostly create and promote my own site. But recently a company asked me to come help with their website and also to do some SEO.

The problem is I have no idea what to charge them.

The work is basically to
- Improve and do SEO on their main site.
- Create a new site from scratch that will have useful content to help people solve problems (they create content) this site will focus specific keywords to attract visitors, it will then send them to the main site or will get the visitors to mail the the company to help assists with the problem. (This is to get people that is struggling with problems to later buy their product that does not have these problems)
- Then I must rank about 10 keywords for this second site over time.
- Create facebook, twitter, google + and linkedin pages
-They also want help with addwords

How much can I charge them per hour ?
Or must I rather charge them for the first and the second site separately and then later charge them per hour to promote keywords.
How much for the social media site and the adwords work?

Help would be appreciated as I have no idea what to charge and they want to know in the next few days.

    I usually charge per hour for my clients. They are willing to pay. You can start based upon the website, keyword etc., Once you started to show results...they will be happy. You can justify the cost only by showing results. I would suggest working on hourly rate will be a good thing.

      I can't give you an exact rate of what you should charge because I'm not in that line of work, but consider the value you are adding to their company when you set your rate. You are doing a LOT for them. The potential in their profits is HUGE!!! So don't uncut yourself. I would even tell them that when you quote them your rate, that you're adding great value to their company with your service and you are potentially drastically increasing their profits.

      Just don't look at it as a regularly hourly job. You should ask for something relative to what you're doing.

    You can charge them as much as you want. There are no hard rules to say you can only charge x amount. Of course don't price yourself out of the market completely.

    as much as they are willling to pay :-)

    Its very hard to decide what to charge...

    I may charge more than you but you may only need a little to live....

    Soooo many factors in place that effect what you can and cannot charge...

    So i have been doing some reading and the consider
    50-60 dollars to be low
    100-150 dollars as average
    200-300 dollars high
    Is this correct ?

    Personally, I wouldn't charge per hour unless you were in house.

    I'd recommend just coming up with a set of fees and responsibilities and work as a contractor so the company knows what they're paying for, and you aren't measuring your value as an employee but rather a consultant.

    Unless of course they are offering you a full time position as an in house. Then you are good to go.

      It's best to work per hour for things like this. Otherwise they will want a million changes to the site design etc. that will end up being done for free.

    Dude it's simple,

    You just look what other providers of your service are charging using google or look on this forum in the classified section or warriors for hire then taking the revenue level of your client in consideration set your price accordingly.

    Pricing is used a competitor advantage factor so choose carefully.

    Alternatively you could even ring up some companies and get some quotes without giving away who you're working for of course.

    You can give a try and ask 20% from all them revenue I did this with a lot of my customers and some time i get 50%
