Don't Enable Facebook Time line Yet! Here is Why...

If you do not know yet Facebook is upgrading pages to timeline on the 30th March 2012.
The good news is;
1- the pages will be wide upto 810px wide
2- new larger profile images/timeline cover 111px x74px

However the bad news;
1- Landing pages are gone. Fans or non-fans all arrive to the wall
2- Fan-gate/reveal tab don't exist anymore.

Hopefully facebook will revise their changes, otherwise its not good news for online marketers especially those of us who were using the iframe tab apps!

    This is old news. I changed over to the timeline before Christmas and have found it much better.

    Not to mention that I've seen some warrior's pages with the new timeline and they look brilliant. Mine is just the standard timeline but I've seen some good things done with them. Now I've been reminded of it I'm going to look into customizing my one.

    This has been talked about for a while, and Facebook are aware of the concerns - but they've done it anyway, and I don't think they will change it. Even when 84% of users were said to hate the new format, they stuck with it.

    Time for a new FB strategy, I think.

    Are you sure that it won't allow more tabs in anyway? I'm not sure if time-line for pages will be exactly the same as for personal accounts

    I'd say it is best to Enable the new Timeline right away.

    Better to get accustomed to it soon, and be ahead of the competition.

    All the Big Brands have started adapting to it already.
    To you think Facebook would go and pull the switch on them?
    Nope.

    We're all just going to have to adjust.
