I'm working on mine right now.

I like the new tabs. You can make a couple of them pop on the page like I did with the "Special Offer"

Just a heads up that isn't my page linked, that's the title of the post. Mine is here:

Unfortunately you can no longer have a landing page. Your timeline is the hub of everything Facebook and you are not allowed to directly promote inside the cover photo. That leaves your app spaces and content to do the talking.

I like the proximity of the image and the like button. Also I like that the tabs now have large images so you can make a "click ME " image pop.

After watching FB video tour - I thought you are not even allowed to have an 'arrow' pointing to any 'take-action' promotion on the cover page at all? As this one >https://www.facebook.com/pages/Squee...47695991983926

- plus not allowed any form of promotions or discounts or direct advertising! They say thats what the 'about' area is for! I am also still learning

It's a nice change to Facebook I would say.

We just have to adapt to it, and make as best use as possible with this new Format.

according the FB, these are the rules for the new Fan Pages, Apparently you cannot have the following:

"Price or purchase information, such as “40% off” or “Download it at our website.”

Contact information such as a website address, email, mailing address, or information that should go in your Page’s “About” section.

References to Facebook features or actions, such as “Like” or “Share” or an arrow pointing from the cover photo to any of these features.

Calls-to-action, such as “Get it now” or “Tell your friends.”

Covers must not be false, deceptive or misleading, and must not infringe on third parties’ intellectual property."

After reading through these comments I'm not too excited about the change. How can you have an effective social media campaign if you can't have calls to action? That doesn't make sense to me.

It's going to be a lot harder to convey the value of Facebook and social media for local businesses now.

But Facebook has to do what they have to do and it is what it is. Keep the ideas coming on how we can capitalize on this change.

hi, I am lost with the new timeline, when I do a staus update to the fanpage, it says it is posted but I cannot see it anywhere??

I thought this would just show but it is nowhere that I can see

what am i doing wrong? I also noticed there was no longer a wall could that be the issue?
