Running my Email List for dog training

I've decided to give my website another try and since I get 150 visitors a day, I figure why not set up aweber on it, and collect some emails. My only issue is, I"m not sure what to sell in the emails or write. Because If I write good training articles, I can't sell training books through clickbank...? Can anyone help with this dilemma

Just because you send out some helpful tips in your emails doesn't mean that you have to give away all of the information for free. Why not offer a tip of the day, or send out an email with 3 great tips. Then, you can tell people to buy the book to find out more, or to get more details.

Or, if that idea doesn't appeal to you at all, why not scrap the book idea altogether and sell dog training products - like special collars, repellent spray, etc.? After all, people will need things like that to implement the advice you're giving them.

First you need to figure why would people signup to your list in the first place. You said you are getting 150 visits per day but how are these persons finding your website?

    What information do they seek?

Once you figure that out, you can then create a free report and give them the answers. ofcourse once you find out what they want, you can find the relevant products (clickbank or other networks) that will give them the solution they need.

But you must first Find out what they want/need!

I've got so much different content, there's no way to tell what everyone is coming to the website for. I have SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 so I know what keywords people are using to find the articles they're reading, but my niche is kind of big. That's why I thought I'd do a training course and just make it simple?

I have had good conversions with physical products in the pet niche. I send email tips then a product of the week email. If using amazon be sure to send subscribers to a web page you own first to stay within amazon TOS.

Seeing you are in the dog training niche, I'm sure you have some type of experience with dogs...

And if not, know some stories about how much of a pain in the butt it can be.

    Tell stories.

Talk about the horror stories of not being able to train your dog...

And if you don't have any...

    Simply do a little research.

I've never had a dog, but I do know that they can be pretty pesky...

Digging, scratching, taking a dump where they shouldn't, and all that other fun stuff :p
