I agree. All of the above, you don't have to just do one. I would start with one that you think you are going to excel at the most and then I would add the rest or put more focus in to the one area to make more.

What do you think you would be best in?

i am thinking of going for the social networking site so after a while users will be the ones that is gonna put real content in and keep the site going.

so how much can one expect to get in return in a single good niche blog or a social networking site.is targeting $2000 per month unrealistic?

all of them are great models and I'm sure you can get residual income from all of them. That being said, I make my passive income from one site and one niche. Now it's time to replicate.

You have to be careful with Google being the main source of traffic to your site. Remember thy can pool a carpet from under your feet any moment and your $2000 passive income evaporates. Thats the problem of having your eggs in one basket.

I would highly suggest not using adsense along with your other forms of monetization. If people click off of your site, you want them going through your affiliate links to get a good commission rather than the cents you will get from adsense.

If you want to do adsense, that is fine, but adsense can easily take away from your other profits.

Don't do the niche social networking site. If you really want to do the adsense and affiliate marketing route, get into the niche blog market if you want to go that route.

If your building all the above sites to drive organic traffic from Google you must know that not only google can de-index you, you can also loose your ranking due to numerous algorithm changes they do to their search engines as well as having your Adsence account closed.

If your business depends on Google in anyway it is not a solid business and its out of your control. I would look at it as "it's good while it lasts". Lot of people here had to restart from scratch because google decided to change a few things over the last 5-6 years.

To answer your question, yes I am refering to whole online marketing in general.
