Need advice on new web business

Two days ago, I couldn't sleep so I stayed up and decided to start a business. The next day, I created a video and a website: Syncplete Media | Get your business synced

I am a newbie to web development but really versed in setting up wordpress sites with multiple themes. Made a bunch already: Ask Cruisers, Best Proposal Ideas, and Everyday Reviews.

I am confident I can set up a website, facebook page, twitter, and sync it all together for a local business. I am also offering professional photography of their business for a site. I will also register their domain name and host it on my shared hosting account (I'm sure local small businesses will not get a lot of traffic, if it does, I plan on getting a VPN). Offering everything for a flat price of $500.

I just want to know if there is anything I am overlooking, if my site (Syncplete Media | Get your business synced) is professional, if there is anything I need to add to the site. I am planning on making a free site for my father in law who owns 7 businesses for my portfolio. Please give me your thoughts, advice or encouragement. Thanks!

    Best of luck!

    A starter page for $500 could really help a local business get noticed. Specially since a lot of the owners either don't know, or don't have the time to set one up.

    Sounds like a pretty good plan to start. May I ask why you mentioned a VPN? I noticed you're in the Raleigh area, like me. When I first moved here a few years ago, I put together a list of about 50-80 small businesses in the area that did not have a web presence. I'd be happy to forward it along! I haven't tried to contact them before, but I did my research. Most are between North Raleigh & downtown - mostly along Capital Blvd & some that were advertising on Craigslist.

    It's a good start. You already did more than what most people would and that is actually get started. I'd say your logo could use a bit of work. I think you meant getting a VPS. VPS is more than enough for local businesses. You would be able to host hundreds without dragging down much resources.

    You should also have a contact # on top right and a lead form on the homepage. Hope this helps.

      VPS....that makes more sense now. I'd advise against that unless you have server administration experience. Even a managed VPS requires you to know quite a bit more than just using a reseller account.

    First of all, Kingfish! First time I met a north carolinian on here. much less Raleigh. I live in Wake Forest, so near North Raleigh, but I travel all over as my fiance is in Cary. Just one question, how come you researched all those businesses? Were you going into webdesign as well but didn't work out? I would love that list, it would be a great help.
