Umm, I am not sure I completely understand your question but I have learned that having your own product can be just as much work if not more then selling for someone else.

When you are creating a new product you don't have any idea how well it will convert. It could sale like hot cakes or it could just be something that people are not willing to pay for. At least when you are selling another persons product you have an idea of how well it will covert.

Creating your own product is actually the easy part of the whole process. What do you know about? Write an ebook. Super Easy.

You still have to work hard at selling your product and getting good affiliates with an unproven sales page is near impossible.

I guess what I am really trying to say is don't think you can just create a product and throw up a sales page collect the cash and that's it cause it is not.

Now in the long run having your own product can really pay off but there are a lot of hurdles to over come first. At least that is my take on it. I am certainly no expert.

I can only speak personally. No, it's not an exaggeration. My own products are my own - written from scratch by me. Not using anyone elses' material rewritten or recycled, not using PLR. They are my own, written using my own personal experience.

You can use PLR that you have bought to produce a product and sell it elsewhere as your own, but you can't sell it here on the forum as a wso.

Being an affiliate is a far shot from a stable income stream. But if you make and advertise your own products, you know there's quality and durability in the availability and relevance to society of the product.

Just write a report on something you know about, ' 10 steps to....' or something like that, then promote it.

    Hope this helps

It doesn't have to be anything complicated. Use Word or Open Office or some other document software and put together a 5-10 page report on something you know about that others might find useful, or research something so you can write with some authority on it.

Or, put together a how-to video of something you can show others. Again, it should be something people would want or need. It could be a video of you demonstrating something live on camera or screenshots of powerpoint slides.

    Good luck,

It would be best to figure out the what part first. Then figure out the how. What will your product be? A book? newsletter? software? web script? mobile app? I recommend defining a product around something that you already have a skill in (makes things easier).

Having your own products is great, but you really need to start as an affiliate and get some traction. As long as you're building a responsive list, you simple sent a promotion to them when your product is created.
