How to Rank for Keyword with 'dot' -- example: asp.net interview questions

Hello,

I was wondering that if I want to rank for a keyword like 'asp.net interview questions', would a domain like: 'aspnetinterviewquestions.com' help?

I understand that there is more to ranking than keyword rich domain names but would this keyword rich domain name even give any advantage like regular keyword rich domains provide?

Any examples would help.

Thanks.

I think it that way, do not buy any domain if you don`t understand whole market in
your niche. Keyword is not a niche!

      MadFin Thanks.
I do understand the niche but was not sure if the keyword rich domain will also help boost keywords with 'dot' in them

I was under the impression that Google ignored special characters, meaning that asp.net = aspnet. So yes, that domain name would be somewhat helpful in getting your site ranked.

It depends, do you know the exact search volume and
    competition level?

If not too competitive, I would just use that keyword on
a blogging platform like blogger, wordpress or squidoo.

If lots of comp, you can add the domain you suggested, but
be sure it's you can monetize the keyword with your site before
    you invest your time.

    I hope this helps
