making a landing page

*************UPDATE****************

I figured out how to put the page together (took about 15 seconds once I realized I just needed to upload the FTP the files.

Now, the only thing I don't know is how and where to insert my autoresponder code.

Am I naive for thinking I just take the HTML or java snippet and paste somewhere in the HTML index file?

If it'll help, here the page.

Thanks!

The other day I purchased a WSO and it came with a capture page. I believe it's an HTML landing page that I would need to host, but there are no directions. I've used an HTML editor to make basic capture pages, but this seems a little more complicated.

I have some understanding of publishing pages by using filezilla to upload to my hosting account, but I'm a little lost here.

I have a folder with all different source and image files but am not sure what to do and how/where to include my auto responder code.

Help!

    Download the free version of NVU, a text editor. Then open the file you got in NVU and make any changes in the WYSIWYG editor. Preview it there to see it is what you want and save it.

    Use your FTP software to upload it to the net (but you need your own hosting account first, of course.)

    These are all the step by step things I used to not know too so I can understand. Once you have the steps, it really is pretty simple.

    good luck

      If you are using a html editor, you will need to switch to html view to paste your auto-responder code. Then save the page as something such as index.html

      You should also have an image folder that has all the images on the capture page. Upload the index.htm file and the images folder to your domain then view in your browser.

      It's hard to explain without knowing the exact problems you are having but I hope that helps.

    I have a gig on fiverr where I install aweber opt-in forms. Just type aweber into the search box at fiverr and you should be able to find me.

    Great looking landing page! Just one word of advice...I would definitely put the form fields a little higher on the screen...prominently "above the fold"...

      Good advise and I agree. Problem is I didn't design it, nor do I really know how to edit it. I purchased this as part of a WSO. Comes with articles, autoresponder series, ebook and landing page.

      Once I solve for this code issue, the pipes will be complete. Just up to me to effectively market it.

        It looks good! If this is your first attempt at setting up a landing page, congrats! I know it came with a WSO, but it's still a big step.

    You need to go into your HTML code and paste your autoresponder code between the <form> your autoresponder code here</form> tags. (Be sure to only have one set of those tags) Then if you want that same button you will need to modify the code a little to include that button instead of the generic one.

    Get the code in first and get it working... Then worry about he button.

    This explains how to replace the button with one of your images...

      When copying over my autoresponder code, does it matter if I use the java or html code?

      I pulled this from the page source.Can you let me know where I should put my code if I need to delete/modify anything, or just add it as is and keep everything currently there?

      <formclass="members_form" method="post" action="#">

      <p><labelfor="name" class="label">Name: </label>

      <inputname="name" id="name" type="text" class="formbox" tabindex="1" /></p>

      <p><labelfor="email" class="label">Email: </label>

      <inputname="email" id="email" type="text" class="formbox" tabindex="2" /></p>

      <p><inputname="send" class="send" type="submit" value="Yes! Let Me In!" /></p>

      </form>

        Yes you got it... Replace that with your HTML form code... Then link the current graphic button to your new form.
