How can I build a list If I'm selling affiliate products?

Example, I pick a niche, pick a clickbank product and promote it. The traffic is going to go directly to the product vendor's sales page.

I want to capture that lead first (for my email list) before they go to the affiliate sales page. And I still want a good experience for the visitor.

Any ideas on what I should do to achieve this goal?

Thanks,
MissTR

Just generate a lead as usual, and then at the end of your emails, included a cleverly disguised link (that hides your affiliate link - preferably your own website link) that leads them to the merchant's sales letter.

Here's the process in a nutshell:

    1. You find a niche

    2. Research the problems that these persons in your niche are having.

    3. Create a free report that answers this problems. (more like an overview not in too much details).

    4. Find a product that will give the persons the full solution to their problem.

    5. Create a squeeze page to give away your free report

    6. Once the persons are on your list, build a relationship with them and recommend the affiliate product to them.

    7. Continue to build a good relationship with them and recommend even more affiliate products.

So you are getting these person on your list before they get to any affiliate website whatsoever. That way even if they don't buy right away, they are still on your list so you can either follow up or recommend another product.

Long term you can even create your own products and launch it to your list!

    Hope that helps.

Don't send your traffic to the clickbank offer. Send it to your squeeze page offering a related item in return for their name and email.

Build a relationship with that subscriber THEN promote the clickbank product to them. If they don't buy it, you'll still have your subscriber (that is, if you built a good relationship with them before pitching them offers).

You can prepare a free report/ebook/video to give away (related to product that you want to promote)

Set up a squeeze page with opt in box.

After your visitor sign up for your free stuff, send them to your CB affiliate product.

Basically, you need to direct traffic to YOUR OWN site and give them some kind of freebie... wait until they are on your list to promote affiliate offers.

The thing you need to do is to first set up squeeze pages, drive traffic to these squeeze pages which will build you up a nice list, then build a sort of connection with the list, giving the tips and recommendations, and then promoting your affiliate products.

    That's it in a nutshell
