Make Your Site Sell by Ken Evoy, I would say. It's a 800+ page long read, but it was definitely worth my time back when I started. It contains everything that's needed in order to start a successful business/website online.

Well, later I had the privilege to get to know the author (Ken Evoy) a bit closer and he's everything he preaches about. He has lots of other e-books related to Internet Marketing, such as Make Your Site Sell, Make Your Links Work, Make Your Words Sell, Make Your Knowledge Sell, Make Your Content PRESell, etc... As you can see he has a wide range of similar products, covering almost every important segment of Internet Marketing.

What I really liked about his products is his attitude towards IM: "Keep it real, and add value." And he's the prefect example of that. He's not the all-so-common IMer who just wants to rob people off their hard-earned money, he actually DOES want to help people succeed. Unfortunately that's very rare on the internet nowadays.

BTW, if someone wants to learn more about these products I think now they're available for free to anyone who wants to read them on sitesell.com. It's PREFECT for total-newbies who know nothing or almost nothing about IM and would like to learn by the 80/20 rule. You'll quickly learn 80% of what's important in under a month (and in no ways am I affiliated with them, for your information, I can wholeheartedly recommend their products).

I don't buy alot of stuff, but when I do it's usually software, plugins, scripts, etc as well as services. A few months ago I picked up a few Wordpress themes I really like for a few new sites, including FlexSqueeze. The most recent thing I picked up was the WSO for the AmaSuite software to help me do keyword research for Amazon products and keywords.

yes i have scape box, i use it to find high pageranked blogs and then post by hand, the problem is most people use it to spam! if you used as it was intended scrapebox can be used as a great tool.

I love the practical approach of this book! Simple, general and straightforward rules on personal relations that could be applied not just to business but also in almost every aspect of your personal life.

This is guaranteed to be a good read. I happen to have an audiobook too. So, I tend to listen to it every now and then.

I can tell you what my worst buy was, Market Samurai. This was back when I was under the delusion that Google was the be all and end all when it came to traffic generation. I also realized that 99% of the functions of that software were nothing more than gimmickery.

If you play the SEO game and want to determine who your real competition is, simply compare the organic search results with the "inanchor:" parameter search which shows you who is actively optimizing their website for your keyword.

My best investment was 'Joint Venturing'. I created a fresh idea which I thought wasn't going to work out, but a kind person could see the light in me. Like at the time I didn't even know what back linking was, yet she could see it in me. So I used my utter most knowledge and skill to meet her expectations, and I'm currently in a place where I make a passive income.

Christine Clayfield, From Newbie to Millionaire is one of the if not the best WSOs I've ever seen; so much value never mind the number of videos available. It plugs the gaps I've had for a long time in my IM knowledge and gives me renewed motivation as well as optimisim for my money sites.

I think the warrior forum should encourage all newbies who join this forum to buy it, maybe we'll get fewer daft questions asked by someone who has'nt bothered to use the Search button at the top. Or Google it for that matter.

There was a WSO last week that crashed Warrior+ because of it's traffic. This WSO is basically a week long webinar where he explains how he makes massive launches. Anyone who can take down Warrior Plus with traffic deserves my attention.

I also buy products of markerers who I want to get closer to. It much easier to approach someone when you have given them something first. Works a charm for me and always pays back more then i ever spend.

ouch crashed the servers! that is what i cool hardcore traffic!

I also agree with what you are saying with regards getting close to maketers, it is a lot easyier to "get in there" as it were if you have brought there product\WSO

In my opinion Christine Clayfield's book is well out of date.
She suggests buying Market Samurai which is not as good as it was and using Norton security. The problem with Norton is that it slows the computer down to much.

The best investments I made are Photoshop and EZ Builder.

I agree with a few others in this thread in that I used to think that Market Samurai was my best investment but now I'm not so sure. I don't use it as often and you can find all the information you need elsewhere - normally for free, just takes longer. It is a time saver but it's buggy and regularly has problems with cloud stuff.

I think my best investment this year has been in outsourcing - and wordpress themes and plugins in general.
