wordpress installation failled-please help me!

I have installed wp via control panel (syskay.com) through fantastico and was well done. I even log on to my wp-admin for the setting up of the blog, but on the process of visiting the site to know if what i was doing was ok. On geting back to wp-admin area to continue the blog customization everything just went wrong.
I can't log in or even get to the log in page. I try to access my site smallbizclue.com but with an 500 internal server error, i try to call my local host all what i was told was that i didn't install the blog very well. I have tried numbers of time yet the problem still remain.
please anyone with solution in the house

I would completely delete the install from you web host and reinstall it. That can sometimes happen.

What web hosting are you using? Hostgator, Bluehost, etc.

I"m not familiar with that hosting, so helping may be a challenge. Delete the install and reinstall via Fantastico.

That can somethings fix the problem. Otherwise, I would contact support at syskay for help.

If you already install wordpress, maybe the error occur after you install new wordpress theme. Try to delete new wordpress theme from FTP, or if you can not do that, better to delete wordpress and install it again from beginning.

    @ollybode -

    Couple things:

    1) Learn to do a manual install of WP and do so via FTP.

    2) I would do as suggested and connect to your site via FTP and delete your original install, in order to start over.

    3) When you get Internal Server error 500 it is often a permissions error. Permissions are set up on the server, defaulted by your host, and regulate who can see your site under which circumstances. (This is not always the reason, but with WP, it is often.) Sometimes - SOMETIMES - resetting your permissions will fix this issue. Of course, depending on your host, this could break something too. I wish it were simple. That's why yo should just delete and start over.

    4) Double check your WP-Config file to make sure that your db name, db password, hostname, db user name are all correct, with no extra spaces.

Refer to YouTube for help with FTP, Filezilla, Installing WP...

    Good luck! :-)

Hey Ollybode - If you're going to be giving internet marketing a real go, the ability to install a WP blog yourself will be an invaluable skill - especially if you are on a budget and will need to do the work yourself.

The first time it's hard, but it really is simple once you get the hang of it.

Read the support forums, watch the YouTube videos and you'll learn quickly.

Everyone doesn't give a **** about hosting, but guess what, hosting is like a solid ground of your business, if it's not strong, your entire business will collapse onto the ground. (just like that - BOOM! TADA!)

I strongly recommend you to go for hosting such as bluehost or hostgator.. They have great server, great loading speed, great cpanel and most importantly splendid customer/support services

It might (or might not) be more expensive than your local host, but how much more can it be? Additional $3.99 per month? I don't know.. Personally, I would want to save that kind of money..

    Hope this help,
    Jeremiah
