Low Priced Items Convert Well? (Affliliates)

I plan on creating a second blog website solely on low priced items to increase my referral rate on amazon.

I know in theory they are supposed to convert a lot better than higher priced items, but I'm just curious to see if anyone has any hands on experience with this?

It depends on the product. If it's something like a video game that isn't necessarily needed, it may not convert as well as say, an acne cream. If you're looking for acne cream, chances are you want to cure your acne asap. Know what I mean? Higher-priced items such as refrigerators pay out higher but when people search for one, they may not make their final decision for months.

I typically promote higher priced items ($100+ for physical products) and then a whole bunch of lower priced products just so I can get that monthly bump in commission. But higher priced products are the ones I focus on most.

Yeah lower priced goods are a whole lot more accessible. With the higher priced goods, certainly the commissions are greater, but people consequently like to do more research...looking at other sites, more reviews, even doing the prelim research online before finding a store to have a look at the product in real time! It really depends on the product. I would go for the lower priced products and go for mass traffic to boost your commissions. Good luck..

I have a website where I sell Amazon products in the health niche which vary between $4 to $25.

My conversion rate is at 8%. I don't know how good that is for Amazon products, but I'm happy with it. Made $70 in Feb from this one site.

Why not mix your low in with your high priced products? I certainly do.
It works great. And it does take up your commission rate.
